“In Crystal Bay - not King’s Beach, so not sure why they named themselves so. Divey, as Craig said. Nice big tap list with some gems on it, but pricey. typical pub fare, and not a ton of choice there. Worth a stop as long as your not going out of your way, or on a budget. Think we did a $15-16 flight of 4.“

“An interesting place. A dive bar feel to it except it was clean and bright inside. 40 taps, all looked good, but pricey. Friendly and knowledgeable service. I’m not sure why it’s called a gastropub, but we weren’t their for the food.“

“A serendipitous stop that we almost passed by on our way from Alibi to Truckee. Huge signs advertising 40 craft taps, and they were true to their word. Advertised as a gastropub, it was more of a dive bar (and I mean that in a good way), probably in an old gas station, with a disheveled and eclectic interior that looks older than it’s three or four years. And the lack of food beyond sausages also throws doubt on the gastropub term. Tapline is on the state line, with the rest of the place in California. The beer choices were interesting and well chosen, but pricey (over $10 from some pints), and flights of four 4 ounce pours was a whopping $15, double any other place we visited. And that’s the price no matter which beers you choose, so we went for the priciest ones - the sours, which we would have ordered anyway. Friendly efficient staff. Small parking lot. Worth a stop for sure.“

“Nice place, great to have a good beer selection in Truckee, don’t looove the ambiance but compared to the casinos nearby this place does pretty well. Food is good but not expansive in selection.“
