“About 14 beers on tap, including a nice hop water, and NA beer from Best Day. One BA imperial stout. A bunch of IPAs. Beer quality is pretty good. Surprisingly 1/2 full at 4:30 on a Monday. Easy parking. Great vibe overall. $5/5oz taster. Sigh: back to Bay Area prices after enjoying $2/5oz in Eureka.“

“I didn’t enter this into the database. I suspect a marketing firm did. First rating (and probably last). Whole Food clone. All beers are in large format or 4packs. The few singles are 20oz. Almost all large microbreweries. Great cheese selection.“

“Great place where you can get a beer, a good sandwich and take some home. The folks behind the bar are great, but remember they are staffing the bar and the checkout. They really work hard to be responsive, but when all you have is 1-2 people, its hard to hit all places“

“Brewpub in downtown Santa Rosa. Small amount of outdoor seats, indoor space not terribly large. They do have a lot of taps, around 18. Split between their Belgians and barrel aged sours and IPAs and other American styles. They have a food menu - large focus on pizzas, also some sandwiches and appetizers. My chicken Caesar salad wrap was quite large and the hummus platter was as well. I have wanted to come here for ages after trying Pliny the Elder many years ago and it did not disappoint!“

“What a great beer store. Being one block from the popular Russian River brewery, may have given them a reason to stock a large inventory or craft beer. The store is huge, with about 20% dedicated to beer, including 14 coolers in the back, of which maybe 3 are single cans, which I love. I even found a new brewery to rate. They have also have many shelf lambics and such. Highly recommended.“

“Nice little brewery with 10-15 taps. Beer is Ok. I ordered a 4 taster flight for $10, including a couple of light beers, a sour, an IPA. The IPA was good, but I didn’t finish the rest.“

“Wow. This place is enormous. Huge selection of single cans and bottles. Meads, sake, sours, barrel aged…they have everything in huge varieties. Highly recommended, but a bit of the way, so only if you are in the area.“

“Cut and paste Whole Foods, except….they have a pretty cool taproom. Dark, like a Japanese underground beer store, surrounded by cheese, salumi, and wines. The tap room has 6 interesting local taps. The beer selection is mediocre plus craft beer, with everything in malt packs. Pass for beer, great for food.“

“15 beers on tap. Just up the road from Russian River Brewing. A couple of unique barrel aged beers on tap. Nice barrel aged beers and other cans to go. $4 for half pints.“

“I’ve been here several times, but never did a place rating. Around 20 beers on tap, including some nice sours. Rotation of taps is much slower than other breweries, but then their beers are famous. Beautification in bottles for $14. A couple dozen other beers in cans and bottles. Always crowded as it is on Friday at 2PM.“

“10 beers on tap. Easy drinking styles. The saison I ordered was below mediocre. Maybe the rest are good. I like the appearance of the interior: 2 stories. Good music.“

“I love these cool small breweries. Maybe a half dozen large fermenters. 12 taps. 12oz bottles of barrel aged imperial stout for $6: can’t beat it. Wonderful place to visit, if you are in the area.“

“Chill pub with food trucks in a rando part of NW Santa Rosa. Decent selection of beers on tap, though rarely lots of ticks for you. Some outdoor seating if you need that. Of course the beers are super solid even after they went all Heinie Weinie.“

“Nice space, not far from RR. Metered street parking, free after 6pm. Wide open space, long bar and some small tables. AC/DC on the sound system. Perhaps a dozen taps, not all running. Interesting selection. Good service.“

“Sort of a light industrial strip mall type thing. Big place, long bar. Tons of picnic tables on a nice patio covered by camouflage netting. Tasty beers, especially the wet hop offerings - great timing.“

“Not far from Russian River and worth the extra stop. Cavernous old warehouse, small serving bar. Nice beer garden out back on the river but not really visible because of barriers. Scattered outdoor tables and chairs, broken down flatbed truck that doubles as a music stage. Food truck. Very tasty beers. They have a mobile coolship and their first couple of spontaneously fermented beers were fairly successful.“

“Light industrial strip mall warehouse sort of place. Tents and tables set up in the parking lot because of some virus. Still plenty of parking left over. Tasty beers especially the dark lager. Great staff. Food truck.“

“Light industrial taproom with a decent outdoor space considering the industrial location, scattered tables with umbrellas. Beers were outstanding, especially the large variety of well made lagers. Sexy glassware. Great staff. Food trucks. Large parking lot always seems to be pretty full. Worth going well out of your way to try.“

“Smallish taproom, decent sidewalk patio with some shade and murals next door if you peak over the fence. Decent enough beer. Friendly efficient staff. Banh mi from a nearby Vietnamese place. Stopped in on small brewery Sunday and got interviewed by a random reporter who happened to wander by. Weird.“

“Visited July 2017. In a weird mix of industrial/commercial/and outskirts of residential area just a bit off of 101. Plenty of parking and a bit of a warehouse type tasting room. I guess you could say they're kind of going for a barn aesthetic? Luckily they had AC because it was hot. Nice bar with about a dozen beers on draft. I just opted for some small pours of a few things I hadn't had before as I was a bit pressed for time. Their beers are really hit or miss for me. They can make some awesome stuff and some pretty bad stuff, and everything in between. It's worth a stop if you're up this way as it's not too far of a detour from the other places you would want to go (Russian River, Cooperage, etc.).“

“Just north of the centre, this is a cute little place that's been around for a while. Taplist is not super intriguing, but they have some oddities on that might be worth trying if you're into them. Flights available, with however many beers you want on them for $2 a piece. I wasn't enthused with any of the beers I tried, but they were mostly competent. Service seemed a tad impatient, but was otherwise OK. Wouldn't especially recommend a visit.“

“Ten minutes east of downtown. I used them regularly during the Covid-19 lockdown because they have a really easy online ordering system and they'll bring your order to your car for you. Owner is a former Porsche owner, which means extra points for ambiance, and she'll gladly have a safe distance and masked chat with you about her old Porsches. Selection emphasizes CA breweries plus a handful from WA and CO, good prices and regular sales. Haven't been inside because of viral restrictions. Solid place.“

“Stopped here with heykevin for some breakfast on the way out of twon the morning after RateBeer Best 2017. They have a taproom/bar area as well as the usual selection of beers in coolers that most Whole Foods locations have. The selection is pretty straightforward and does not really hold any surprises for you. You will be able to at least get the local stuff like Russian River and the usual suspects in any Northern California bottle shop. It's fine enough if you happen to already be coming here, but just go to Bottle Barn if you want a big selection.“

“i remember for years waiting for the "imminent" opening of the Moonlight taproom, but it did finally happen. Its a pretty large space, a little more complete than in Broken's review, but still has an "under construction" feel to it. All beers individually avaialble as sample pours. Quite busy on a Sunday. I ended up doing a couple of samples and moving on, but it is a great place to catch up on the lager staples that have made Moonlights reputation.“

“Old possum is a surprisingly large space given how new it is. Large bar, tables, clean bathrooms. Flights of everything available, which was six beers when i was there. Service was fine, beer quality was OK, although the two lagers were actually pretty terrible.“

“walked over here from RR. This is a large space with a balcony, kind of old school, but pretty busy on a saturday night. I did not do the mega-flight, but instead had a simple pils, which was satisfactory. This place would do well in many markets, and apparently does well here, but it seems overshadowed quality wise by the new comers, as well as the iconic Russian River three blocks away.“

“It finally happened--there's a Moonlight taproom!

Visited with heykevin43 in January 2017. Tiny bar in the entryway for ordering one of your favorite beers and they also have a small merch selection as well. The primary area to hang out in is in the back/brewhouse. A couple small tables and some wobbly wood dividers up (don't put your beer on them).

The beers are great, as you would expect. Good prices. Glad to have this place around, finally. Maybe hard to justify such a high score as the place itself isn't the most exciting, but the beers are top notch and it's the best place to get all your Moonlight ticks in.“

“Had the 19 beer tasting flight. Beers were surprisingly mediocre outside of most of the IPAs and the absolutely incredible sours. Pliny got a little lost in amongst the noise, so I somewhat recommend getting that separately, I got a bottle to take away. Pizza was good. Pizza was great. Place felt like a small town brewpub should. Busy and comfortable, very friendly service. Glad we made the effort to get there, but next time I'll just get pints of the good ones.“

“Visited a friday afternoon around 2PM, no line to get in, and was offered a table after 20 minutes or so. Rather big place with a long bar along the left side as you enter, seating in front and to right. I liked the fact that allthough always busy, if was fairly spaced between tables so that it dosnt feelt to crowded.19 beers on tap, a number of bottles. Shared a flight of all tap beers, quality of beers from good to amazing, not surprising. Had a really good pizza and salat for lunch. Loads of staff, all very friendly and service minded. Good prices, think our flight and food was about 55$+tips. Some bottles to go (looked like most left with a case of Pliny) aswell as short, caps, and the like. A great visit.“

“Industrial tap room close to others, we walked here from Moonlight and Plow is even closer. Long bar along the back of the room, and about 10-12 tap's, good varity among styles allthough abit IPA heavy, pilsner, a couple belgians, stouts, a sour stout. Overall good quality of the beers. Samplers size pours served at 3-4$, full pours is 6-8$. A good number of guests on a friday night, still service was fast and effiecient. A good visit.“

“Another industrial place a short ride from downtown Santa Rosa. Our Uber driver took us a little up the road to see how close the wildfires got to town last fall - scary. Nice Modern taproom, clearly put some money into it, brewery to the left as you enter, bar to the back. 8 or so beers on tap, flights, half and full pours, growler fills. Quality of beers pretty good. Food truck outside, we tho we didnt had any. Pretty busy on a early friday night, service still nice and informative. Fair prices. Nice place. Walked to Cooperage after this.“

“Big brewpub in 2 flors and with a beergarten out back, near to Russian River. Visited a friday afternoon after RR, a good number of guests but plenty of seating for us. 11 beer on tap + handpumps with cask version of 2 of the same beers. Flight avaible with all beers for 19$, hell of a deal. Quality fair, not outstanding on tap beers, the cask ones had been on to long. Fine fast service.“
