“Stopped by cause I had some time to kill in Sheboygan. Typical Festival with the attached liquor section. One of the bigger BYO sections I've seen in a Festival, four four-foot sections. Tiered pricing in the BYO section, as in all Festivals. $1.99 - $5.99 and everywhere in between. This means you can get those pricy pints along with the new Leinie's seasonal. That makes all Festivals worth stopping by for ticks. Staff was standoffish, but, I'm not holding that against the cashier because I think it may have been some social awkwardness. Overall this one is better than the average Festival.“

“Downtown bar. I saw no sign of food, but I guess they sell it. Arrived around 4 on a Sunday, a live band was playing and the place was very full and very drunk. Fun vibe. 30 taps. Six house beers on tap. They were OK. Very nice selection of guest taps, including some less common stuff. Flight of 8 for $16 and the bartender threw in a sample of a mead simply because I think he loved it and was trying to share that experience. Service was a bit gruff but otherwise good. Easily found street parking around the block.“

“Big, open warehouse. Large bar and tables over a couple levels. Bunch of taps. Some core beers and some taproom only stuff. A couple cask options. I tried 8 beers. 1 was not good, but the other 7 were all very good. My opinion of the brewery went WAY up this visit! Bartender was friendly and handling the crowd well. Build your own flight... 3 ounce pours ranged from $1.50 to $2.50. Bottles of some stuff available to go for solid prices. Large parking lot. Easy drive from the interstate. Well worth a stop.“

“A great big tavern in the old downtown of Sheboygan. A large bar boasts a full bar and a ton of taps mostly spewing creations from San Diego’s Ballast Point Brewery. Specials every night with room for sit down dining. Come as your are as anyone will feel welcome at the 8th Street Ale Haus..“

“This is a big warehouse space that opens up in the summer so kind of an indoor bierhalle/biergarten. About a dozen 3 sheeps taps some which aren’t packaged, mostly non-standard lineup beers. There is a cask as well. Bartender was friendly, prices are fair, everything is available as samples ala carte.“

“I updated the name of this place and unchecked the "closed" box because it was definitely open and roaring when we were there a few nights ago. A half-dozen 3 Sheeps taps are the attraction as everything else is your typical Bud-Miller macros. There’s a full-service bar plus a good lineup of burgers, hot dogs and chicken sandwiches (no complaints on any of the food choices made by our group of 10). Waitstaff was knowledgeable on the 3 Sheeps offerings. Very attractive reclaimed factory interior. Worth a stop, especially given that many earlier complaints were about the smokiness of this bar (and Wisconsin’s smoke-free law is now firmly in place).“

“Corner bar in the middle of Sheboygan, but not along the main commercial strip. The atmosphere is casual, not quite to the point of dive-bar. If I remember correctly, there are about 20 tap lines, many of which are Wisconsin breweries. There wasn’t anything super limited on tap, but it wasn’t hard to find something worthwhile. There is quite a good bottle selection. I didn’t have time to try the food, but was tempted by the $1 burdger night! It’s worth stopping if you’re in the area and need a relaxed place for a beer.“

“The bar is located on the main commercial street in Sheboygan. It has a large bar and comfortable atmosphere. The staff is friendly and bartenders know their stuff and will usually talk beer with you. Their taplist is rotating frequently, and they are able to get some amazing kegs that I would not expect to show up in Sheboygan. They have recently started brewing as well, and the few beers I’ve tried were fairly good. This is definitely on top of the heap for beer places in Sheboygan, and you should definitely check it out if you’re in town.“

“Downtown Sheyboygan-real laid back area. Very clean and well done place with about 30 taps. Some locals, some international and some US. Decent food selection with fish, burgers, and appetizers. Great customer service-the bartenders were first class. If in Sheboygan, go here. This should be in my neighborhood.“

“Big place. Lots of wood, TVs, loud music, 4 of their own beers 5 macros, and 5 other micros. Service was friendly and prompt. No credit cards. Full service bar, Several pool tables that looked well maintained. Some breweriana and local history. Nice building. Saw somebody eating I think it was a frozen pizza and they seemed to enjoy it. Not that bsy on a Friday night from 10 - 12.30 am.“

“Stopped in here; first time in Sheboygan. Lots of British and beer memorabilia in a warm comfy setting. Bit of a funky smell. Staff were super friendly, helpful, and knowlegeable. My appetizer was great and I learned all of their chow is organic and loca.l Only had one beer, Bitter & Twisted and it was superb - so fresh. Prices were fair. Love to return.“

“92 may seem high, but the prices, food selection, beer selection (which always seems to get better as the manager gets to know more about beer), and service is great. The crowds that regular the bar are diverse and typically very respectful, I think it helps that they all have one thing in common: BEER. On tap, they are constantly looking to serve some of the best beers in the US and have many good world beers that make their rounds as well. Oh, and get the pork schnitzel sandwich.“

“Location was closed a few years back, but has now reopened as 3 Sheeps Brewing, with a separate RB profile.
Original rating from 2003: This is the place Jeff Kolar has moved his Port Washington operation to since parting ways with the original PW location. The Port Washington brands being sold at retail retain the new, while his new brews will be monickered Hops Haven. I found the place the weekend they had opened in an old sock factory. Nice airy rooms with a lot of the original wood flooring (and what had to be torn out was made into the tables. The kitchen wasn’t installed yet, so nothing to do but drink beer. They had five brews available, plus two guest taps and some canned lites for the ladies. Their Pier 96 lager is about the best American lager I’ve found yet. Also worthwhile is the Triple H Hefeweisen, with a less in your face hefe style than normal. The Old Port Porter is excellent too, and as a base for the Black Cherry Porter, it balances the fruit nicely. A friendly place with a nice mom and pop feel to it, in a nice little town.“

“Bar/pub atmosphere. Went here for the 3 Sheeps taps. Had a few other okay craft selections, but can mostly find anywhere. Manager was friendly and attentive. Really impressed with the 3 Sheeps brews. Didn’t try food. Would probably only go back for the 3 Sheeps stuff.“

“I was very surprised to find such a quality beer bar in downtown Sheboygan. 30 tap lines with filled up the likes of 3 Sheeps, Titletown, Founders and Capital. An impressive bottle list with Mikkeler, DFH and a bunch of other one-off type brews you just don’t expect to find here. The beer was reasonably priced, my three sheeps brew set me back just 3.50. Both the service and food were above average and they do offer a sampler from their beer menu. There’s both a main dining area and a place around the bar, where they had a handful of TVs to catch the game. This place came recommended to me by the owners of 3 Sheeps and I’m not recommending it to you!“

“These guys were listed in a map of Wisconsin breweries, so I detoured over here between Green Bay and Milwaukee. Get there and they tell me that they won’t have any of their brews on until January 2012! WTF? They did have about 12 other taps, and some bottles. Prices seemed pretty good.“

“One of Sheboygan’s hidden gems. Decent selection of English beers as well as a few others. Food is outstanding! Great blend of English as well as typical American pub food. Service has been excellent each time I visited.“

“This place smells like a run-down corner tavern... absolutely reeks of old smoke. Nice service though. Their house beers are crappy, though they have a good commercial selection.“

“Couldn’t disagree more with some of the previous reviews of this place. The smoking is off-putting, but according to the waitress, will be outlawed in 2010, until then the locals want smoking allowed. I notice no one has reviewed it in almost a year and maybe the beers have improved since then. They have a black cherry stout that sounds bad, but it was fantastic as was their dopple. Jeff, the owner and brewer, spent over an hour talking to us showing us around. To previous reviewers, please give this place another shot.“

“ Last time I visited this was a smoke-filled brewpub and I wasn’t too fond of it. This visit was much better, though it’s no longer a brewpub. 3 Sheeps does brew out of here and four of their beers were on tap so it serves as a pseudo tied house. I’m pretty sure the food was still sandwich maker fare, but I could be wrong. They offered a beer sampler on the menu but I just stopped in to try the lone 3 Sheeps beer I hadn’t had yet. Service was ok. Lots of wooden decor and darts/pool/foosball plus plenty of TVs around to watch the game.“

“A brew haus i stumbled upon when searching for wisc brew pubs. And i am definately glad i found it! I showed up with my girlfriend right after it opened and was greeted by our friendly bartender. The beer was excellent and the environment is very spacious and rustic looking. The aforementioned beer bottle collection is sweet, and really interesting to look at, ecspecially being a younger beer drinker. if you go to sheboygan, check this place out.“

“This was a large facility with a pool table, darts, other games, and a few TVs. There were about 20 people in there, and they all knew each other. The bartender was very nice and the 8 beer sampler for $7.50 was very well-priced (good sized samples too). The smoke level was higher than it should have been considering how few people were smoking and how spaced out they were. The beer was pretty good too.“

“I was here recently and as a follow up to Wawood, they replaced their sidewalks outside and have blacktopped their parking lot. I was told they hope to be serving food in the near future. I enjoyed their Triple H and their October Fest beer.“

“My experience was somewhat less complete than StewardofGondor’s. I did not sit down and have a beer; I just went in and walked around on a Saturday around 1:30pm. The outside of the building is very bland and not exactly inviting. You can park next to sidewalks that are crumbling in disarray or in back in a gravel lot. There were a handful of patrons when I walked in and they wondered what the heck I was doing walking around without ordering anything. The place has promise. It is a large place with a nice, large hexagonal bar. My biggest complaint is that the wooden floor looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. It had the aroma of stale beer, which I actually don’t mind and which I expect from a place that carries on a brewing operation. The neighborhood is a little run down, and it really just seemed like the place needed a facelift. Otherwise, as long as the beer is good, and that may be in question, I see nothing wrong with the place. It could actually see it being quite fun if the place was full.“

“Avoid this place. The beer was pretty bad, and it’s not worth deviating from 43 to make it here. A few locals smoking away, playing darts and yucking it up. Beer served way too cold. Sampler of all taps was about $6. I took the bullet for everyone else. Consider yourself warned...“
