86 /100 HOLLAND FARM, BLACK BROOK
“Visited about four-five years ago.. basically a farm situated in the middle of the countryside, along rural country lanes. Brewery is based in small farm buildings, with a refrigerated lorry trailer used as a fridge for kegs and cans. No public bar or taproom. Can't comment on the current set-up, but can't imagine things have changed. Probably need to call ahead, but definitely call into Mold Alehouse on your way out.“

“Called into this micropub in the centre of Mold, North Wales after a walk up nearby Moel Famau. Well-presented, neat looking bar using scaffold to prop up reclaimed-wood ledges and tables. Expect 4 cask lines, 2 keg and 3 box cider, all locally brewed from the likes of Loka Polly, Cwrw Lal, Heavy Industry, Hafod and Dee Cider which show the area is definitely blessed with its fair share of decent breweries. Some cans in the fridge. Very friendly staff, nice atmosphere, though no music, dogs welcome. Nice place.“

“Central Wetherspoon in the small market town of Mold, which gets exceptionally busy on market day. The entrance is small and the building irregular, but the pub makes what use of the space available. It gets slightly larger towards the rear where the bar is situated. Ale is on two rows of pumps here. The decor is more than comfortable and it is cosy enough.“
