“Gorgeous place across from Backroads. Warm, open and inviting space, all brick and wood and high ceilings. Long bar. It has the scotch selection I wish the Library Lounge around the corner had. Food is mostly barbeque, but like urban Canadian level barbeque, not like rural Southern level. Service, though, even on a busy night, very good. They have 20 taps, lots of quality stuff, and things you don't normally see in the Interior like the smaller batch Backcountry. It's the best beer bar in Nelson, but I'd put it with Curious (Kelowna) and Bierhaus (Revelstoke) as the top three beer bars in the Interior straight up.“

“My go-to store when in Nelson. Downtown location, strong craft beer selection, all the Kootenay Cider Works stuff, and they have their own parking, which is important in downtown Nelson because lovely Rita is everpresent anywhere within spitting distance of Baker St. But mostly, it's got the best selection in Nelson and is just around the corner from Backroads and Broken Hill (and all the gorgeous Victorian and Edwardian hotel pubs, all of which have halfway respectable selections).“

“Kind of on the edge of Nelson up a steep hill, a little tasting shop with okay views across the river. Good friendly service, flights available for take away along with bottles for sale. Some location only experimental cider I didn't try as I was driving west on an intense schedule. Not a bad stop, not a necessary one, but their ciders are not too far fledged so it may make sense to stop by if you have the time.“

“Open for take-out only when I visited mid-summer. Friendly service, beers available in taster packs and cans. A bit of a hike from Nelson's main drag. I'd go back to check out the selection, beers aren't spectacular but certainly competent.“

“Quite a large tasting room and also a big patio outside. 10 beers on tap when I visited, service was quick enough and flights in 5 ounce glasses were on offer. Most beers were pretty boring, surprisingly, the one I had before my visit was quite nice so that was a letdown. Still not a bad part of a Nelson beer crawl.“

“Right in downtown Nelson this place has a great patio outside and a reasonably spacious interior. Flights of 4 each for around 11 dollars. Many good beers, mediocre ones were rare. Definitely a great place to hang out in Nelson when the weather cooperates.“

“Warehouse feel to this tasting room, making it feel very spacious. There's a sizeable patio out front as well. A dozen or more taps, with flights of 4 for $7 (plus tax). Friendly service -- they are happy to give free tastes too. Beer quality is decent, with a couple above average. Cool place to chill and tick some beers, but Backroads is definitely superior in town. Worth a stop when in town.“

“Surprisingly good craft beer selection at this happening bar in the middle of Nelson town centre. Directly across from Backroads, this is another worthy craft beer destination. Fairly sizeable interior with patio seating now on the street due to COVID. 20 beers on tap with flights of 4 available for $12 -- you can also order single tasters for $3, a nice touch. Pretty good taplist too, amalgamating some solid stuff from BC. Friendly service, but they don't know much about beer. This place definitely exceeded my expectations.“

“Right on the main road in Nelson, this is a cool spot. Lots of interior seating, plus a patio on the main street with a few tables -- great for COVID times. 8 house beers on tap plus a guest cider when I visited. Flights of 4 for $8.75 (after tax). Beers weren't overly ambitious, but they were in comparison to most other stuff in the general vicinity in BC; plus they seem to know what they're going more so. Quite a few decent beers in the mix. Very friendly service. My favourite of the Nelson breweries.“

“Visited wile on an extended trip of BC and Alberta with my wife. A bit cavernous inside. We sat a table and got excellent service. I asked for a taster of everything and the had ten. As was driving aI asked for them to be half full so they only charged my half price. The beers were OK and they had some top of the line guest taps a well. Nice place.“

“Not a bad little bar in the main street of Nelson. They have 8 taps (7 their own and 1 guest) but unfortunately when we visited 3 of their own were off. Food is very basic snacks and the ambience was fine despite the noisy children on site. The window seats are good for watching the array of interesting characters passing by.“

“This is a nice brewery taproom just a little away from the centre of Nelson. They have a large indoor seating area and a small patio with the brewery sited immediately behind the bar. They have ten or so taps of their own brews - the ones I tried were reasonable without being fantastic. Simple snacks rather than meals are the food offerings here. All up a nice place to have a couple of beers.“

“Not open to the public, they are working on a tap room. Stopped by, the woman that we talked to was awesome. Very super nice and said come back in a few months. Tasting room is coming.“
