“A large farm off the highway on the northern end of Oliver, this is a great stop if the weather cooperates. They have picnic tables and do tastings along with numerous offerings for take-away at reasonable prices. Service was good. I wouldn't call the ciders exceptional but if it's hot out, this place is a great place to chill out.“

“This is a big fruit stand off the highway with a small area dedicated to their ciders (2 of them) in a small fenced-off area. Service was fast enough. If you have a hard time sourcing their stuff it's worth a stop.“

“The upstairs area of Firehall. Same beer and food available but the patio is a little more formal and civilized and less temporary than the brewery's. It's an either/or situation unless the weather's bad and the downstairs patio is closed.“

“There's a tiny interior with eclectic decoration but they've converted their exterior parking lot into a big patio, perfect for a covid summer day. Service was quick enough and I had some food which was decent. Oliver has a brewery, and it's not bad, if you're in the wine capital do try and check it out.“

“In the far north end of Oliver, about 10 minutes from the city centre, this place is pretty bare bones in terms of their tasting room. We visited a little after reopening from COVID-19 and they had a big, no frills patio, with just some picnic benches and umbrellas. They had 6 bottles of cider for flights (1 oz pours of each for $6), which they serve in shitty little plastic cups. The ciders aren't anything special, but they're drinkable. Not one of the better cideries around here, but it's a decent spot.“

“The downstairs brewery is basically just a little pub with a handful of tables and bar stools. As per small town BC, it closes pretty early. Firehall is definitely an old school brewery, so the beer isn't going to blow any minds, but it's a friendly place, and the smoked stout is a regular, which is good enough for me.“

“A fruit market with a section for the one cider. They will give you an ounce to taste, which is a bit pointless. Service was nice but knows nothing about cider. Only desert apples which she said with pride, no crab apples. Only worth the stop if it is on your way.“

“Right off the highway, this place was mostly a fruit market, with their cider available in bottles and for tasting. They only make one cider, so if you’re looking to try many of them, you’ll be disappointed. The one cider they do make is pretty decent, but nothing special. Very friendly and generous service. Can’t exactly recommend it as their cider is available all over and there are a million fruit stands like this all over the Okanagan.“

Firehall Bistro (Restaurant)

“Typical brewpub feel to this place with 5 house beers on tap plus some guests. No flights available, but they will bring you full sampler pours of anything for free. Beers themselves weren’t anything special. Service was quite friendly. Didn’t try the food as there is nothing remotely vegan, but it looked like standard brewpub fare. Worth the stop when passing through Oliver, but it didn’t leave much of an impression on me.“

“The brewery downstairs happened to be open when we visited, for a live [country] music event. Comfy downstairs and brewery area, but we didn’t stay down here long due to the unbearable tunes. I’m sure it’s pretty nice without the music. We went upstairs to try the beers and chill in peace.“

“Above the brewery, pouring all of their beers. Given the impossible hours of the brewery, this is where you try the stuff. Otherwise typical BC pub, not very interesting. Big patio but it’s on the main street so not compelling. Beers are decent but this is wine country and that’s the better beverage in the area.“

Firehall Bistro (Restaurant)

“This bistro is most certainly related to the brewery. The brewery is below, but has no actual bar; the bistro on street level is where they serve the beers. There were three house beers when we were there and the best was the smoked stout. It is really cool that this is a regular beer of theirs. All three of the beers are extremely soft, undoubtedly due to the type of water used. They had three guest taps and all BC brews. Good service.“

“Great little brewery, emphasis on little. I met the small team and they were welcoming and had a passion for beer. They sell growlers and the accessories required. Not much to see, but the beer is amazing and is only available locally. If you are passing through it would be crime to miss.“

“Nice cozy bar based on a firehall. Downstairs is the Firehall Brewery, which is not related but well represented. Taps are all local craft and for a small local I was I pressed. Service was good and food was as well. Try the Borscht. Well worth the visit.“
