“Had breakfast at the nearby orchard and decided to pop in, Summer of '21 so covid rules still in effect. Effectively a honey craft store with their meads on the side, no tastings in this era. Bottles for purchase, prices were just okay, service wasn't bad. If you're in for mead it's not a bad stop, but essentially a craft shop and nothing more.“

“Right in downtown Vernon this is a large airy brewpub, plenty of open seating. Service was quick and they had 9 beers on tap when I visited, most of which were not bad at all. Vernon isn't really a place I'd recommend a stop in but this is a pretty good reason to go there, or at least plan a lunch while passing through. Prices were about average for B.C. (Note that the Naked Pig closed permanently on October 1st 2019, so their beers are no longer on offer)“

“Just on the edge of town, this place is a tourist trap. They have mead but it is pricey and they only do samples during certain hours and if there is no tourist bus there. When a bus arrives your are SOL. I know I tried and was told no, but they would be happy to sell me bottles. I played the industry card and received a blank look and tried to do a wholesale order and was given the same, we just don’t care. Their niche is tourists and actual connoisseurs need not come. I am a bit jaded, but I will never go back.“

“A duo of establishments: Marten Brewpub being a more rustic brewpub feel, where all the beers are served, serving food and offering flights for a decent price. Service was very friendly, but not so knowledgeable about the beers. The Naked Pig side is set up more like a modern cafe and has different beers available there. So it’s worth visiting both side, as Oakes also encouraged. The only brewery stop in town (so far), so this is worth the stop when in Vernon.“

“About a 7 minute drive from the centre of Vernon, this is a friendly little retail shop, where you can taste / purchase honey, as well as taste / purchase their meads. They had only 3 products available, as the rest had sold out since their release a few months prior. The meads were decent fairly dry, but clean. Friendly, knowledgeable service. Worth a stop when in town.“

“Brewpub - A very nice location where a rustic aesthetic is very welcoming. Service was great and helpful. Flights are available at an OK price, but beer was just average. I had a happy hour app and was a bit disappointed.“

“In downtown Vernon. The setup here is that there are two establishments. The first is a traditional brewpub, with kitchen, called Marten Brewpub. This is where the brewery is located. On the other side is Naked Pig Smokehouse. They have a barbeque menu, as you might expect. There are different beers at each establishment. On our visit, there were a total of 12 different beers, six at each place. Some of the beers at Naked Pig are Marten branded, some are Naked Pig branded. We patronized both establishments. The beers were serviceable but nothing particularly well executed or exciting. I think the amber was the best. The Marten side was darker, pubbier, fine enough but nothing special. The Naked Pig side is brighter (sunlit) and very casual with picnic tables and the like. The barbeque at Naked Pig was very good, the chicken being nice and smoky, and pork melting off the bone. They give you four growlers with different barbeque sauces to sample as well, which is a fun touch. Overall, I’m more likely to get excited about the barbeque than the beer. But just remember if you’re a ticker - VISIT BOTH SIDES. They have different beers.“

“Adequate stock but there is usually no one there if you try to pick up an order. Not much ambiance as it is run out of a small home garage. Postage charged is more than the actual cost of shipping. Poor practice.“
