“A small NSLC with only a few cans each of craft ales from Big Spruce & Breton. The Breton were new to me and on discount near the check out, so worth stoping in as I passed through town.“

“2017-08-12. Nice spot, consisting of two small buildings and a food truck outside. Some outdoor seating but the rain is keeping everyone inside today. The screened in porch is nice but feels small today (I had pictured it as bigger from the photos I had seen). There had a musician playing today and he was pretty good if a touch loud for such a small space. Servers and taps are in the next building over and are friendly enough. Decent number of taps including a couple of guest taps/collabs in addition to their own. Only about half the taps were available for growlers today, presumably based on limited supply. Cans and bottles also available. Nice views. Beers were pretty tasty overall with only one dud, which I could have guessed would have been my least favorite just based on the style. Definitely worth a visit.“

“What a cool spot! Located on top of a hill over looking Bras d’Or. There is a tiny taproom inside with some bottles and growlers available but the seating is just out side in a covered gazebo like structure. What a place to drink a beer. They had 8 beers on tap plus 3 more in bottles with samplers available. Service was great and prices were good too. No food available. What a pleasant surprise!“

“A nice little brewery a few kilometers from downtown. Has a small seating area to one side of the main brewery shop. Smallish brewhouse in back with your typical brewery swag up front. There are only two breweries in Cape Breton and these guys were the first. Three core brands and usually a seasonal or two are kicking around. Nice people and a nice brewery.“
