| 46 /100 96 WATER ST “My 20th stamp in the Nova Scotia Good Cheer Trail Passport. Large place on the wharf overlooking the town common that was hosting Seafest when I visited. Seems geared toward tourists. Plenty of outdoor tables with umbrellas on a deck facing the sound. Inside is a large serving bar, looks like no one sits there even though there's room. Booths and restaurant tables as well. Food is tourist quality and price. So is the beer, just four of them, available in flights of four. At least the numbers match.“ |
| 80 /100 19 KIRK STREET “Next door to my Airbnb. Live music on a Saturday night. Decent amount of Civ sidewalk tables. Large interior, one long central table and some peripheral ones. Small bar with half a dozen stools. Decent enough beers, nothing overly creative, and one guest tap (Annapolis). Friendly enthusiastic staff. Brewhouse visible through glass on the side wall. No food. Worth a stop if you're in town anyway.“ |
| 56 /100 96 WATER ST “Visited on August 4, 2017, for lunch. 19th century fishing style building near the waterfront, it was nice enough to eat outside, with a nice view. Large variety in the food menu, for every taste but nothing original. The real down side is the beer selection, just 5 on tap and all easy drinking British style ales, nothing adventures or mildly adventures, like IPA’s or stout’s. The staff was nice and friendly, but far from the best. It’s a local/touristy place!“ |

| 68 /100 96 WATER ST “A large waterfront facility with lots of seating, including a fairly large, waterfront deck. Only 5 beers on tap during my visit but these were all good to excellent in quality. By reputation, an excellent place to get lobster, and my hot lobster roll lends support to that view. Seafood chowder was also very good.
Highly recommended if in Yarmouth, and worth a drive to come here.“ |
| 66 /100 96 WATER ST “Great location right on the harbour. We were here mid afternoon, so I cant stay what the nightlife is, but its a pretty nice looking pub with some good character. I sampled all of the beer they had on tap, but i dont remember any of them... not sure if that is bad or good.“ |

On a droit à plusieurs ambiances sur 2 étages, du souper/live band ou la salle à mangé plus intime. La sélection de bières est malheureusement un peu triste.“ |

Located in an old industrial fishing building, its quite pleasant and warm, friendly servive, fast, food is good but expensive...the deserts are excellent, with huge portions. I had the seafood casserole with the carrot cake. Beers, however, are rather mundane. Visited Oct. 10 2009.“ |
| 72 /100 96 WATER ST “The premises was a lot bigger than expected, and what..... I have to wait for a table. My fault going down to little ole Yarmouth with my city head on. This place was bustling and popular. A live band was playing in the corner as you enter and were very good. The atmosphere was fun and the staff were very friendly. There is life outside of Halifax... Damn me again with my city head. Sorry. I sat inside, but the pub has a patio looking out onto the water which was pretty and would be very tempting in the hot summer months. Its September in NS and its getting cold. Inside is very open and spacious, you can watch the kitchen staff frantically prepare the food as you drink a beer at the bar. The shrimp is excellent but would like some home cooked chips as I would say, none of this "fries" lark. The beer is nothing to tell your dad about but very drinkable and as jerc says the brown ale is the stand out. I enjoyed my time at Rudders. Cheers.“ |
| 70 /100 96 WATER ST “Cozy atmosphere with a big airy feel yet publike at the same time. I started with the poutine (tasty but not spectacular, really hit the spot though) then on to a 1lb lobster (tasty, my first lobster in a long time - Photo) and finished up with some very nice bumbleberry pie. Thorougly enjoyed my lunch! The beer was servicable but not mindblowing. The brown ale was the standout for me, and the Acadian Amber was quaffable.
A must visit if you are in town, but probably not worth the 3-4 hour drive from Halifax like I did!
