Little Current Beer Guide: Your Little Current guide to beer, beer bars, breweries and brewpubs

Latest reviews from Little Current

“Small brewery in the village of Little Current, the first or last village you see whether your are arriving or leaving beautiful Manitoulin Island. Small retail shop attached to a sizeable brewing facility. A lovely patio out front with a food truck next door for some eats. Was looking for some brewery exclusives seeing how I've had their other offerings in the lcbo or pretty much any lisenced establishment on the island. Was only able to snag a can of their small batch cream ale. All in all modern, and clean, had a selection of 5 of their own beers, with loads of merch. Staff was friendly and helpful. Worth a visit.“

“One of two breweries on Manitoulin Island...this is the one in the "city"...the booming metropolis of Little (the other...Split Rail... is out in the island wilds). I believe it's safe to say Little Current is the largest of the several small villages on the island...but still small itself...and the brewery sits in a prominent spot on a hilt not far from the center of town. I believe the brewery taproom/patio opened in 2017 (so after Split Rail's I think). The brewery itself is sizable as they are a production brewery shipping their beers all over Ontario. The patio is very attractive with white stones and a mix of standing and sitting chairs and tables. There is a serving counter in a round silo type structure on the patio. We arrived shortly before closing time and enjoyed our beers with a sunset that was very beautiful. Note that I believe they extend their hours in the summer season to maybe 8PM or so. The beers are good to very good...none were amazing...but all were enjoyable. My favorite was the Bridal Veil Pale Ale. If visiting to Manitoulin Island...make sure you visit both breweries.“
