“Brilliant little pub just north of the hustle and bustle of Fenny Stratford. Since the last review in 2018 they've closed and reopened but sounds like it hasn't changed overmuch. Friendly convivial and cheap, with a decent beer selection: Three cask beers plus some keg, including two beers from relatively new local outfit Grid. A little bit like stepping back on time but with a better beer choice. Worth going out of your way to check out.“

“Visited 19/11/2018. Small range of beers, featuring two local breweries Concrete Cow and Hornes (7 beers combined) plus a selection from Scotland and a few ciders from the West Country. Certainly not worth a special visit but if you come to Milton Keynes it’s worth a look - and there’s plenty of other stuff to look at whilst you’re there if beer isn’t the be all and end all in life! Reasonably priced.“

“Called into this bar while visiting 2019 Good Beer Guide pubs around the Milton Keynes area. It is owned by Vale brewery, and re-opened in 2017 after extensive refurbishment. Up a few steps to the entrance and you are in a single room bar with a separate area with seating and sport TV screen. There are 6 ales from both Vale and guests, some of which are on gravity. Also available are around 6 keg lines and shelving beside the bar houses a good selection of bottled ales, mainly Belgian. Disabled access is available from the car park at the rear of the pub. We enjoyed Vale Brill gold and Vale Life and Songs of the Crow.“

“We popped in here on Sunday 26th April with Isobel on our slightly diverted route back from London to look at Garden Offices. I wouldn’t normally review a garden centres beer selection, however on this occasion I will make an exception. I don’t think that I’d been to a Dobbies Garden Centre before, this one was a good size, picture a large Wyevale and the size and layout will be similar. This one is on the southern edge of Milton Keynes quite near Bletchley and just off Watling Street, which always reminds me of a book I read at school called ’Late Night on Watling Street’. Anyway back to Dobbies, it’s big and full of your usual garden furniture, café, book area, sheds, garden offices, and then there is a food and drinks area and a surprisingly large selection of beers, I counted about fifty. There was some local stuff like Concrete Cow, Red Squirrel etc but the majority seemed to be made up of Scottish breweries such as Isle of Skye and those Thistly Cross ciders. I don’t think it was a particularly great selection by any stretch and you’d probably be hard pushed to find many truly decent beers, however if you want to pick up some Scottish rates, I am quite sure you’ll get some here. I was convinced that I would be the one adding this so was rather surprised to see that it was already added.“

“I was surprised by the selection of Scottish beer here. Plenty of Harviestoun, Orkney, Skye and Samuel Smiths amongst others. Generally the only place to find these locally.“

“Yes, I’ve had a good few bottles of Scottish beer from this garden centre. You go in for weedkiller and come out clutching a clinking bag of winners. Can’t be bad. And I got some excellent sticky toffee puddings. Shame I forgot the Pathclear.“

“Big garden center with a clean and very nice food court. Some +40 bottled beers in selection, all chilled. Plenty of Scottish and English brands. Worth visiting if yu are driving by.“
