Polecat Inn (Restaurant)
“Beautiful old school English pub, old building with lots of uneven nooks and crannies, large patio and beer garden with space for kids to run wild, tasty and sensibly priced food, four ales on tap. Ale all local - my only criticism would be the prevalence of the insipid Rebellion beers but they are the local filth so what can you do...“

“Visited on Saturday 16/04/16 around 13.00. Located between High Wycombe and Great Missenden, the Malt brewery tasting room has 5 cask lines dispensing their own offerings, allied to 5 or 6 bottles available to take away. Growler fills also available of whatever is on at the bar (these are advertised on the website) - their own growlers only though! The bar has 5 or 6 stools around it which were filled with locals, who were also topping up their growlers, supplemented by a larger seating area with maybe 4 or 5 tables. There is also a patio area outside - dogs not allowed in the building. All the, shiny and modern, brewing kit is clearly visible from the bar. As well as the beers for sale in bottle, a number of local products such as cheeses and bread (made with the breweries malt) are also available, plus some merchandise. Staff were friendly and service prompt, I was given the lowdown on one or two beer queries I had in respect to the RB database. Overall a solid small scale brewer, they focus on the traditional styles but the 2 I had, an ESB and a bitter were both really good examples of the styles - clean, flavoursome and I could certainly have had more of these!“
