Six Bells (Bar)
“Pleasant pub in a small village east of Cambridge. Multi-roomed and very old school, the Six Bells offers five real ales. On my visit there was nothing earth shattering - GK and other big brewers - but I picked up two seasonal beers from Oakham and Everard’s respectively. Good condition, reasonable value and drunk in amiable surroundings. Worth a stop if you’re out this way.“

Six Bells (Bar)
“Having read the local CAMRA publication in which this pub along with the The Devonshire, The Geldart and another pub at Swavesey (Swan perhaps?) were alll in the last four for the local branches pub of the year we (me & Loz) intended to get to the other three having visited The Devonshire yesterday. We cycled from Cabbage Moors campsite which is situated in the Trumpington/Great Shelford area of Cambridge about 6.5 miles to get here. We arrived between 12:30-1pm and the pub was already starting to fill, the food seemed popular. The beers were Adnams Broadside, Adnams Ghost Ship, Adnams Southwold Bitter, along with Woodfordes Wherry, Ilkley Mary Jane and I think that there may have been one other available. Beers were fine, and the service was friendly. It seemed a very welcoming sort of place and whilst I agree that I think that I think I would have chosen The Devonshire over this to be the winner, this did triumph on the fact that it appeared a cosier place to visit.“
