“Comfortable two-room pub with nice beer garden. Range of cask ales (sometimes including their own but usually guests) and 3-4 craft keg lines. Belgian beers available in bottles.“

“Visited on 27th November 2017. About 10 mins walk from the station sits this lovely old 2 roomed boozer. Bar sits centrally, nice decor and a real fire roaring away. Popular with locals on a Monday night. 7 cask beers on including one from Goodall's. Other 6 a mix of local with an Oakham and Dark Star as well. Quality was good. There is also 6 or so keg beers with Kernel, Fyne and Beavertowm from the UK plus some Belgian fruity shizzle. Service friendly and prices reasonable. A great example of how a pub should be. Recommended.“

“You know those modern pubs that spend lots of time and money trying to recreate that worn, bleached, wooden interior look? Well here’s a place that doesn’t need to bother as it has looked that way since time began; add a sprinkling of locals who give the impression that they are permanent residents, some good beer, and friendly staff; and you have everything a small town pub should be.Unfortunately there weren’t any Goodall’s beers on when I was there, but there was quite a mix from far and near to avoid too much disappointment. Well worth seeking this place out.“
