“Where to go in Stockton Heath if you go on holiday by mistake, as we did..Varied clientele. I.e. not dominated by hipsters. Craft bar wood and brick ambience, two massive plus points for me. 1) The Dunelm Massey Porter was as good as any porter I've ever had, 2). It was £3.30 a pint. Didn't go anywhere else, apart from the chip shop.“

“Nice real ale bar in the centre of Stockton Heath. Beers are mainly from the Lymm and Dunham Massey breweries. Nice atmosphere and decent selection of beers“

“On the main road running through the vibrant and well-to-do Warrington suburb of Stockton Heath, this wine and bottle shop is very much a bar in the evenings and gets plenty through the doors on peak nights. In an elevated shop unit, the first part of the venue is taken up by the wine shelves, with the counter at the rear. The ale selection which has a fairly decent selection of, and exclusively from micros is opposite this. It’s not extensive, but worth a look. if you’re staying for the wine there’s further rooms in the rear of the place which is more suited for drinking as well as an attractive patio. They have their own automatic wine dispensing system so don’t expect to be served at the bar if it’s grape juice you want in here.“

“Large open plan ground floor JW Lees pub right next to the Bridgewater Canal at the top end of Stockton Heath’s centre. It’s an appealing enough pub with a plush decor for the changing clientele, and is a popular place, probably in part for its spacious outdoor area just above the water. Inside there’s an L’shaped bar that serves a selection of the brewers ales, although its patrons are very mixed so they’re probably not necessarily here for those.“

“Real ale bar occupying a shop unit close to the Aldi supermarket in the heart of the very small but very vibrant centre of Stockton Heath south of the Manchester Ship Canal as it passes through Warrington. The front of the ale house with its large glass windows is taken up with small tables, with the bar at the rear of the room on is left hand side. Here there’s 7 ale pumps that carry both Dunham Massey and Lymm Brewery ales as this is an official outlet for both of these Cheshire brewers. 6 were from Dunham on my visit. If you don’t fancy these micros there’s plenty of bottle choices from craft brewers as well as two keg craft lagers. Although not distinguished with its decor, it has a moody lighting and is a comfortable and friendly place. Given this is a very affluent area of the town the prices are decent.“
