| 82 /100 Tip Inn (Bar) 60A HIGH STREET “If you are in the area, try not to miss this pub. It's a pub from Alter Ego brewery, who do some lovely traditional stuff as well as more adventurous beers (more on these in a moment). The Tip Inn is large and spacious, fully able to accommodate a Friday night crowd with plenty of room to manoeuvre around. They had six cask on my visit, with Thirst Class and Thornbridge available as well as Alter Ego, plus a couple of Black Iris on cask. There's also a beer fridge with 440s of more adventurous stuff from mostly but not exclusively Alter Ego. Imperial stout, White stout, export stout, barley wine and so forth. Makes a change from a sessionable trip round the Derbyshire countryside.the men's is chock full of 'Jim'll Paint It' examples. What more do you need?“ |
