“My only complaint is that they replaced the London Stout with Guiness.“

“Large, historic pub in the centre of old Shaftesbury. Quite foodie and pretty close to a hotel lobby in character but has one of the most dramatic views from the very pleasant veranda at the back. The beers were all from the Charles Wells stable apart from a guest beer from Bath Ales. There was a handy cider rating though.“

“Traditional but clean and freshly decorated pub, rightly popular, just off the bottom of the famous Gold Hill (Think Hovis Adverts). Carpeted, comfortable furnishings and really good food are the bonuses. The beer range is of West Country beers, mostly of the normally available range plus one changing guest. We really enjoyed this pub.“

Shaftesbury Wines (Beer Store)
“Small wine shop on Shaftesbury High Street. There is 1 shelf unit for local beer producers. Good pricing small range. Fine if you are nearby.“
