72 /100 Tiger Inn (Bar) THE GREEN, A lovely old English country pub. Very popular in the summer time for food in particular. Plenty of tables outside where you can admire Sherlock Holmes’ retirement home! Half a dozen cask ales, mainly from Long Man, Great service, working WiFi which was even strong outside. Parking in the village is super limited, so not the best idea to visit at peak times. |
72 /100 Tiger Inn (Bar) THE GREEN, Excellent pub, cosy, good service, small, but decent selection, had 2 Beachy Heads on cask when I visited, plus 3 others decent caks, kegs are the usual macro crap. Very nice food! |
72 /100 Tiger Inn (Bar) THE GREEN, Lovely village green pub that I visited during my South Downs way walk before finishing off in Eastbourne. Just a couple of Beach Head beers on my visit but both in very good condition. Super just to sit out and relax out the front. A must visit if in the area and certainly if you too are closing in on the end of the South Downs Way. |
66 /100 Tiger Inn (Bar) THE GREEN, We stopped past here on our way back from visiting the Impressive Seven sisters. Tiger Inn is a beautiful 16th Century pub located on a village green. Interior is traditional (low ceilings etc) with modern updates. This is the Beachy Head brewery tap so expect to see their beers here. On our visit they had 4 Beachy Head and 2 Harvey beers on cask. Beer was in very good condition. They also have a few of their house beers in bottle. Food is contemporary, well executed pub grub. A pleasant place all-round and a must visit if you are in this area. |
64 /100 Tiger Inn (Bar) THE GREEN, An idyllically situated pub at East Dean ´s village green; traditional furniture , bare walls and low ceilings inside, a nice patio at the green outside… 3-4 real ales are served, at least two of them from the local Beachy Head Brewery. A fine place and a must when You visit the beautiful Seven Sisters! |
78 /100 Tiger Inn (Bar) THE GREEN, A truly idyllic spot, nestling in the beautiful South Downs, just a stone’s throw from the sea at Birling Gap, where you can paddle in rock pools beneath Europe’s finest chalk cliffs. Pub has been sympathetically restored and preserves its medieval ambiance. Lots of tables on the village green, like something from Thomas Hardy. Beachy Head beer, brewed nearby, is delicious. Only complaint: arrived as the cook was leaving, so no chance to try the menu. |
72 /100 Tiger Inn (Bar) THE GREEN, This is the Brewery Tap of the Beachy Head brewery. It’s located a few hundred yards from the brewery in the village of East Dean (the brewery is just outside). It serves a range of Beachy Head beers - Original and Legless Rambler plus seasonals - as well as Harvey’s Sussex Best. It also has rooms and serves good food. It was refurbished and extended in 2009. I found that the staff were friendly, the food excellent and the beer in very good condition. It faces the village green and there are plenty of tables outside Definitely worth visiting if you are in this part of Sussex. |
