“Visited October 2023. I think this place had only just opened on our visit - there seemed to still be odd bits of electrical and decorating work happening in the corners. We were surprisingly the only customers early on a Saturday afternoon. It's a long thin bar going back into a railway arch, with up to 30 taps of purely Dutch beer (26 active on my visit). Not many different brewers on my visit though; I remember Van Moll, Poesiat & Kater, Uiltje and one other taking up almost all the taps, although to be fair they were all beers I'd never seen in the UK before. Loads of different styles and strengths though, and all available in thirds too. The bar lady seemed slightly confused when getting my drink, but again this may have been just because they'd only just opened. Prices were definitely high, but I guess it's London prices with a premium for getting in Dutch beers you won't see elsewhere in the UK. So in summary... on my visit it lacked customers (and therefore atmosphere), the service was a bit sketchy, and I'd have liked to see more different brewers represented - but I think all those issues were caused by it having only just opened and it will rapidly improve. It's a brilliant addition to the Bermondsey mile, and I will definitely look forward to revisiting it when I'm next there - the draw of 30 taps of unusual Dutch beer will be too much to resist!“

“This is part of London's Bermondsey Beer Mile, a traipse through a gloomy, old, formerly industrial part of the metropolis. This brewery, like most of the others, is located in a dimly lit, old space under a major, raised railway, with a semi-circular, vaulted ceiling. The beer here is very good, perhaps the best that we encountered along the beer mile, and the atmosphere is interesting. With 18 taps along with 20 or so kinds of bottles to take out, it is well worth a visit.“

“An absolute gem of a place that opened toward the end of 2023, and now one of the best spots on the Bermondsey Mile. 30 taps, all Dutch beers, with heavy representation from Uiltje on the day I visited, and stunningly high average ABV among the taps. As with most craft beer places, 1/3 pints are available, and staff are happy to give samples. Prices are pretty decent given that the beer is all imported. I found plenty of interesting things to try. The place itself is fairly small, but quite comfortable and chill. Very friendly service. Don't miss this place when in Bermondsey.“

“Right next to Gosnell's and Cloudwater, come here for well-done more traditional British beers on keg. No 1/3 pints for the most part, which sucks, other than for the two Tilquin guests they had; just 1/2 pints, though staff will give generous tastes. Small main area, though there is an upstairs and a gig area where loud music was playing and bleeding over to the upstairs when I visited -- slightly annoying if trying to have a conversation. I wouldn't say it's a mandatory stop on the mile, but I enjoyed my visit.“

“One of my favourite spots on the mile, primarily because they feature plenty of their own BA wild ales. 20 or so taps, 7 of which were their own -- mostly grape BA wild ales -- the rest guests. 1/3 pints available, plus staff will do free states. The two beers I really nursed were both excellent, both being skin contact grape wild ales. Very impressive and surprisingly reasonably priced. They've carved out their own niche here, and thus it's a stand-out on the mile. The place is on the larger side for the area, but still was packed when I visited. Mandatory visit when on the mile.“

“Directly next to Gosnell's and Moor, this is the most hipster place on the mile, featuring copious amounts of hazies, hazies, and more hazies. So, naturally, I didn't like it here, as they don't have much else. Worth a look if you like the style or if perhaps they have a different selection, but I didn't care for the place.“

“Directly adjacent to Cloudwater and Moor, nice place to break up the beer. Mostly session meads available (by the 1/2 pint) with some stronger ones (12-14%) available by the 1/3 pint (lol - minimum 6.67 oz pours of strong meads). Some okay, but mostly too weak for my tastes, even for the “strong” ones. Super friendly and helpful service. Nice spot but they’ve got a ways to go to compete with the big leagues mead-quality-wise.“

“10 taps, apparently specializing in Deya and Versant beers, but there weren’t many on tap when I visited and much of it was hazy nonsense. Worth popping by to see the list, as they have some of the sexier hipster breweries here. Pleasant service and standard interior for the area.“

“Interesting spot super close to many breweries specializing in importing Floridian beers, at least on my visit when they had a bunch of Angry Chair and their FL beers. Prices are high for these, as you’d expect. Pleasant spot, which must be run by a big beer geek as judged by the bottled decorating the interior perimeter. Worth popping in to see their beer list.“

“Only two of their own beers, the rest being guest taps that are only somewhat interesting. Flights of 3 x 1/3 pints, but single 1/3s are available anyway. Wouldn’t bother with this place with what else is available on the Bermondsey mile.“

“Another newish brewery (est 2019) on the mile since my last visit. Not one of my favourite stops. The beer selection was uninspiring, with some hazy stuff, and a very sweet and clunky peanut butter impie. 1/3 pints and free tastes available. Wasn’t happy with the beer I sampled, though I’ve had worse. Skip this place.“

“A substantial upgrade from the previous location, this is a much sleeker, slightly bigger version of the original location. They had about 16 taps when I visited, with 1/3 lines available and generous free tastes. Top-notch beer quality, doing some of the best IPAs (no hazy shit), stouts, saisons, and more in the UK. Reasonably priced for London and a mandatory visit if you can get down to Bermondsey.“

“Visited on Friday October 27th around 1630 hours. The venue had only opened a few weeks previously and is still in a kind of soft start phase. Unit 67 is still being refurbished with the aim of turning it into a kitchen that serves Dutch food. I found myself as the only punter in the 40 or so minutes I spent in #68 with 2 door staff and the barkeep for company. Decor was smart enough and modern and I'll set ambiance as a 4 ... very early doors both in terms of the businesses life and opening so won't knock them for the obvious lack of atmosphere here! 30 taps on the chalk board with 23 actually being offered during my stay, although I was told 2 or 3 new ones were coming on in the next hour. All Dutch beers as advertised including the likes of Poesiat & Kater, La Trappe, Uiltje, Jopen, Van Moll and Emelisse. All styles were well represented from hops to sours and Belgian offerings to imperial stouts ... ABV's ranging from 3.4 to 12.8%! Service was friendly, and of course prompt, with me being the only punter and tasters were offered. All beers available in thirds ... decent enough prices too, thirds of the hight boost 10% offerings weighing in around £4.50/70. They plan to sell bottles to drink in and go in the coming months also. Overall I was impressed with my first visit here and it does give the Bermondsey scene something different ... certainly a big upgrade on the previously overseas themed London Calling Sweden. I'll definitely swing by regularly as long as the rotation is good and they offer new ticks.“

“(Visited May 2023) Taproom under the railway in Bermondsey. Interior is the same as the neighbours, corrugated steel and concrete, with the addition of a wall full of barrels. 24 taps, mainly with their own beers. Lots of sours and other interesting stuff. The main drawback is that it was seriously crowded. Service was friendly, even if it took a while due to the crowds. Beers are generally really interesting, so worth a visit if not over crowded. Burger stand at the entrance.“

“(Visited May 2023) Taproom under the railway in Bermondsey, just next to Cloudwater. Interior looksmuch like the neighbours, corrugated metal, concrete and light wood. Ten taps with mead, most of them from Gosnells, a couple of guests. Most of them of session strength, but there were a couple of strong ones as well. Swift and friendly service. Well worth a visit for some variation on the beer treck.“

“(Visited May 2023) New Kernel taproom under the railway in Bermondsey, just a bit further down from Cloudwater (but not as far down as the previous Kernel taproom). Interior in light wood and concrete. Around 15 taps of Kernel beers and a good selection of bottles. Swift and friendly service. Visited on an Saturday afternoon, fairly early. Not at all as crowded as the previous taproom (and they hava a toilet!). Beers are excellent, so well worth a visit.“

“This is quite a large place compared to many of the other bars and taps in the area, filled with wooden barrels giving a more restrained atmosphere. The service was somewhat brusque but maybe I might have been slurring a little by now. I just went for the Barrel aged beers on show. Worth another visit.“

“This looks like a brand new bar in the heart of the Bermondsey mile but already very popular. I'm wondering if it is Deya gaining a presence. There are 10 beers on offer with a very clear tv screen showing this list of which around half are Deya. Most of the seating is out to the front. Good list, it's been a long day, maybe get a better view of it next time.“

“So this is their new taproom in an arch just a few along from the old version, I was never that keen on the old one anyway. This has a much nicer feel to it, the bar is easy to approach and find your picks from the overhead boards, good choices, swift, efficient service. The seating is a little strange but plenty of it. Well worth a visit now.“

“My intention was to go into Spartan first as it would have been a new brewery only to be told that it looks to have closed for good. This is a pretty similar set up to the Mash Paddle with the bar under the stairs, mezzanine which creates quite a packed area. Lots of staff on though so the turn over was good, seating upstairs, there seemed to be a family vibe to this place, although some of the kids were quite unruly unfortunately, bothering quite a lot of people. The beer board was quite confusing, took me a while to work out my targets, in fact I maybe didn't really get on top of it. My furthest point East on this crawl, from here-on all westwards.“

“This is a bright and colourful tap on the Bermondsey Mile, very popular too, but all the units were filling up by now. A bit of a struggle to get served under the stairs, mezzanine area, but some good seating upstairs. Around 9 beers on sale with a good range of styles and breweries and a couple of their own beers for sale. A definite for me.“

“This is set up to the highest spec of all the bars and taps on the mile for me, very smartly done out and seems to attract the biggest crowds with people of all ages, seemingly very popular with the satg and hen parties. Professionally run, the beer board is a bit tricky to navigate when the bar is full. Has to be done when on the run.“

“Sited in a slightly narrower arch seemingly this is quite a basic set up and run manfully by a young friendly chap. Just Moor Beers available on my visit, which is fine as you don't really see them on tap away from Bristol these days. Small list but enough for me.“

“This got quite busy early on a Saturday afternoon, it occupies a slightly larger archway to many plus there is out the front seating in a coned off area but not in use given the pouring rain we had. Interesting beer list, 2 new breweries for me and they seem to be a UK outlet for some Florida breweries. Well worth a visit for the beer range alone.“

“This was the 1st place to open on the whole of the Bermondsey mile as the rest all seemed to be having a lie in on a Saturday lunch time. Small place, friendly owners who were setting up inside while we were under the brollies out the front while the rain thundered down. Small tap list, just the 4 in operation plus fridges full of cans. Plastic squidgy one use glasses unfortunately. Decent start to the day.“

“Interesting place which focuses on USA (mainly Florida) beers with some UK beers I haven't seen around. They seem to have regular tap takeovers and some special bottle releases. Also plenty of meads and some of them are poured by the glass. Some of the stuff here I haven't seen anywhere else in Europe. Mostra vs Kong on tap, Floodland bottles, Garagiste glass pours. Yeah the prices are steep, but that's expected I guess. Well worth checking out.“

“Railway brewery with interior like many others. A bar a the end of the room, basic interior with light wood. However the beer selection is great. Lots of beers both on tap and in bottles. Lots of styles, pretty much all of them executed superbly. I'm a big fan of the Kernel, on of my favourite breweries ever, but I think this should be a must visit for anyone coming to London.“

“(Visited Nov 2022) Taproom located in an industrial area close to South Bermondsey railway station. Fairly large taproom, with a large bar in the middle, seating areas around and a mezzanine around most of the place. Modern and industrial design. Up to 10 taps of their own beers, some of them probably test brews. Swift and friendly staff. Despite the location a bit out of the way, the flow of customers was pretty good on my visit on a Saturday afternoon. A good visit for a good selection of Fourpure beers. If your planning to include this on the Bermondsey mile, you should start here, since it's furthest away.“

“Visited February 2023. Second stop on the Bermondsey route. A modern place with spacious tables and a quite familiar atmosphere on a Sunday morning, it didn't feel like London, but rather like a cozy local spot. Excellent selection of beers and a fridge with bottles to take away. Good ambient music. Tasting flights not available, but you can order 1/3 pints. I really enjoyed the visit, and looking back, it was my favorite spot on the mile. Next one please!“
