Water into Beer (Beer Store)
“Can't praise this bottle shop highly enough. The selection is fantastic with plenty to choose from wether you like DIPAs, Impy stouts, sours, Saissons, pales, trappist or table beers. It's very reasonably priced, costing no extra to drink in with a free bowl of popcorn. Tim the owner is extremely knowledgeable and if he hasn't got what you want in stock he'll try and get it for you. There are plenty of theme nights including quizzes, live music and comedy and a home brew club. Plus WiB has everything you need to set up a homebrew with plenty of helpful advice. Brilliant addition to the area.“

Salthouse Bottles (Beer Store)
“Nice, quite compact bottle shop a couple of minutes walk from Brockley station. Opened about 18 months ago. Stock around 200 beers and also have 4 available for growler take-out (with help-yourself sample growlers also available). Helpful staff. Hope to get a chance to go back (easy to combine a visit to here and Water into Beer which is just a couple of minutes walk the other side of the train line).“

Water into Beer (Beer Store)
“Cool drink in bottle shop a couple of minutes walk from Brockley station. Opened about 20 months ago. Stock 200 or so beers including quite a few from local breweries I'd not seen stocked elsewhere. Was left alone to make my selection but when I asked a question about one brewery I got a helpful reply. Hope to get a chance to go back (easy to combine a visit to here and Salthouse which is just a couple of minutes walk the other side of the train line).“

“I could have sworn I had already added & review this place...Anyway. The London Beer Dispensary is the Brockley outpost of the growing Late Knights bar mini-chain. It is a bar without a bar... Inside it is a stripped-back and open 1-room job, where the beer is dispensed from the wall in the corner! On my visit they had 8 ales (from gravity dispense), 5 ciders, a few kegs and a decent range of bottles. I am not a huge fan of gravity dispense from bars and I found the beer condition variable. I much prefer the new Gipsy Hill location and Peckham outpost in that respect. A good addition to this part of town and I hope it will only improve going forward.“

“Jam Circus is located just outside Crofton Park train station. It is one of several outposts of the Antic pub chain in Brockley. Inside is relatively small and has a modern, fancy decor. This one offers up 6 cask ales, a range of boring keg ales and a few interesting bottles. They seem to always have something on from the nearby Brockley brewery. On our visit they also had stuff from Kite and Caveman & ELB. Cask condition was good. Far from Antic’s best, but a decent stop nonetheless.“

“Offers something different to the Co-op and Londis that are closer to the station.“

“Having lived in the next suburb of Forest Hill, this place was just a short walk away across Brockley Hill, but well worth it given it is by far the best place to find an interesting drinks range in this part of south London.“

“Great shop. Certainly deserves a mention as one of the great bottle shops of London. Very respectable selection, lots of local brews that I haven’t seen elsewhere. Great prices, very friendly staff. A bit outside the city centre but I am glad I made the pilgrimage.“

“Decent shop. Has a fair range of British breweries, including a few obscurities that I haven’t seen elsewhere. Limited Belgian selection, some German. Prices are pretty average, ambiance is fine, service is friendly. Good range of foodstuffs as well. Not a place to visit specifically, but worth a stop if you’re passing by.“

“Many thanks to Tony for introducing me to this local hidden gem. Heartbreaking for me that just after discovering this it will soon (from the end of January) no longer be a walk in visit destination, and going online (with possibility of local pick ups from wine bar next door tbc) Amazing array/variety of bottles available on first visit, was only going to pick up a few bottles, and ended up taking a box load home -will ensure I make a last visit before the store closure/business goes online.“

“I thought I would finally take a drive out to this place after hearing good things and was not disappointed. Unsurprisingly given the name the primary focus is wine, but they have a very interesting selection of beer indeed. The focus is on UK microbreweries and they have got the selection spot on. On my first visit this included ten Kernel beers, Arbor, Magic Rock, Mallinsons, Buxton, London Fields, By The Horns, Pitfields, Hardknott and Oakham, amongst others. In addition to the great UK options they also have Belgian and America stuff. I came in looking for a beer or two and came out with a box of goodies. I will definitely be returning.“

“Good place to have locally, fridge full of different and some obscure beers. Worth a visit, beer prices are reasonable and a good mix of people. Good place for SE4 to have.“

“Excellent beer store in close proximity to Crofton Park Station. Very impressive selection of British craft beers, hard to find Belgian beers and a fair selection from Germany and the USA too. The owners are more than happy to source any beer you’d like to see stocked there and will do their best to find it. If you’re ever in the Brockley area find your way to this place and I guarantee you won’t be disappointed!“
