80 /100 CATFORD BROADWAY
“Catford Bridge Tavern was my favourite pub when living back home in London. Sadly around no longer, the same owners of the original (Antic) have taken over a building a stones throw away and worked their magic again. It is tucked in off the main road, with a sign above the passageway, on initial visit was somewhat disconcerting venturing down there until seeing the welcome board pointing to the entrance. Once in you are greeted with the usual Antic "shabby chic" appeal which you will find throughout the building, the main hallway where the bar is (and even in the toilet/bathroom which really has to be seen to be believed) its like a time warp in a good way this building (built circa 1736) Now on to the important stuff, the beer selection much like the now retired CBT is cracking. The same kind of names Magic Rock, Dark Star, SummerWine, Thronbridge, lots of Local London stuff, and still has the same knack of getting beers in that were not on RB and still not rated since our visit in August. Defiantly recommended, and looking forward to visiting on next trip back.“
