“Taking a few cues from the Brewdog interior design team this had plenty of spartan booths and bare wood décor with a nice lineup of local craft beers and also the American stuff after their namesake. Prices were average, service good enough. Not a bad stop.“

“This local small bottle shop near Old Street tube station has a selection of around 50 to 100 different bottles of beer, mostly in fridges, from London small breweries such as Kernel, Redchurch, Beavertown to imports from the US, Japan, Australia etc.. “

“A nifty little modern taproom amid in the heart of Shoreditch. It is a 'sister bar' to the Old Fountain, a more traditional pub on the other side of the Old Street roundabout. This place has a solid range of beers and very fair pricing; I had stuff from Orbit, Newbarns and Lost & Grounded. A friendly bartender. A small selection of cocktails and spirits. I visited on a Saturday evening (c. 8pm) and it was relatively quiet - quite a contrast to the chaotic streets of Shoreditch that night with people clearly more focused on the club side of the local nightlife. It would definitely be worth checking this place out if you are in the area.“

“Considering its macro ownership, this is a pretty experimental brew-pub. The beers aren't generally amazing, but the head brewer does like to take quite a lot of punts on different sours, or barrel aged beers. The space itself is big and roomy, and has a pretty nice vibe. I haven't tried the food, but the menu looks good, if a bit pricy. They tend to have most of their many taps dedicated to their own lines. There's actually only 2-3 taps that go to the general Goose Island range. They've also started stocking 4-5 guest beers, mostly from domestic or continental breweries, mostly of moderate interest. If you're in it for the ticks, you can expect to find a good number of new beers, if you come once every few months. I've returned a couple of weeks after a visit to find that most of the lines were unchanged. The prices of the beers are actually quite good for the area. £5-6 pints on most beers that aren't super strong, and thus £2 thirds for most offerings. If you're in the area, it's well worth a visit.“

“Refurbished old building, noise level was low but place wasn't full. Expensive beers and expensive food. The beers are well made but not spetacular. Nice place for after work beer. Kind of misses character...“

“Decent enough beer stop. Although there's seems to be a decent craft beer list, it's dark and crowded so you can't really see what's on offer. I ended up with a Moor stout that I'd had before. I'm happy enough with this but it's difficult to tick beers when you can't see anything. Hard to get excited about when so many pubs in the area can offer similar if not better.“

“As if the world wasn't random enough in 2020, there's a Mikkeller bar in Shoreditch partly owned by Rick Astley. Cool. Its small inside, but the choice is big: 20 taps, mostly but not all Mikkeller, with a more than decent bottle/can selection. Most of the 'Rick's' beers are rebadges, but I can live with that. Prices aren't quite as bad as I feared, but this is the sort of place where one is likely to linger. The UK needed a Mikkeller bar.“

“I expected to be underwhelmed by my visit to the Goose Island brewpub. After all, GI was one of the most tragic of AB InBev sellouts, and their core range certainly seems to disappoint these days when compared to some of the stuff coming out of the UK in 2020. However this bright, airy pub concentrates on the house brews (about 10 available on keg). You can also get some great Goose island bottles, and while £7 for the beers from the 'Sister' series is a bit dear, this is Shoreditch. A great guest fridge as well. What a surprisingly brilliant addition to the local scene.“

“Ableger der Chicagoer Brauerei in London. Absolut positiv ist, dass es nur hier vor Ort gebraute Spezialbiere on tap gibt sowie lokale Guestbeer. 14 taps. Es gibt 3er Flights u d ein Barrel Ahed Cask Ale/Beer! Deepdish apizzas sehen auch gut aus. Lohnt den Besuch.“

“Met up with Theydon_Bois and BeardedAvenger for a Bethnal Green crawl. When told it was Goose Island, my expectations were pretty low. Pleasantly surprised. Located right on a busy, big sign. Inside is lowly lit and has row after row of long tables. Pretty easy to maneuver and access to bar. Plenty of taps, all brewed in house. Quality was good, as was the service. Worth a second visit next time.“

“At 5:00ish on a Friday evening this place was rammed. Ordering beers was a scrum. However cannot complain as only 4 or so core beers were on with a good array of on-site brewed options in a multitude of styles. We were also luck because someone spotted that a table was being vacated. The pizza was decent. Good see a more US style place doing well (despite the macro link) and staff who dealt well with the crowd. Worth a look in.“

“I've heard of the venue due to the gigs it puts on (plus I believe it's owned by Vice media) but have never been - partly because it is out of the way which is partly why we dropped in as it was halfway to the next pub. An old pub which seems pretty uncared for inside - a gig venue vibe I guess. The beer options were from the likes of Beavertown, Camden and Trumans and the two I would have gone for were off. Not a place I would be bothered about coming back to unless there were a gig. And it was pretty empty compared to how busy the next place was...“

“Vaste bar plutôt contemporain où la musique est reine, aussi bien dans la décoration que dans le nombre de concerts qui y sont organisés. Grande cour intérieure avec de quoi s'y poser. Pas mal de bières locales et craft. Serveur assez froid. Très calme le jour où j'y suis passé (un lundi soir), mais ça doit être chouette quand il y a du monde.“

“Visited a couple of times now. Single roomed venue in central Shoreditch. It's not a big place with only a few tables and some high seating around the outside. Decor is decent enough, bit of beer tat on the walls but is nicely done. Good beer range her with regular TTOs and a good mix of Mikkeller beers and guests, a few house specials so likely to pick up some new beers. Service is friendly. Prices OK but sometimes a little on the steep side. It's a place I've been a few times, not top of the list but would always look in if passing nearby.“

“Visited on June 15th 2019. Situated on the High St in Shoreditch and super convenient for buses is this place. Nice looking bar, pretty modern and clean looking. Place was packed on this Saturday night and I focussed more on getting a seat than the ambiance. (I had also been to a Beer festival at Beer Merchants then Verdant so was a little refreshed). Decent selection of their own beer and a few from the mother Goose. Decent mix of styles. 3 taster flight available. Staff chatty and enthusiastic about the beer even if I wasn't! Decent service and prices. I'd go back to see what's on but wouldn't be a regular stop. Decent enough for a brewery tick“

“Trendy spot in Shoreditch. Smaller than I thought it might be but not overcrowded on the two occasions I have visited (a Monday lunchtime and Tuesday evening). 20 taps, mostly Mikkeller but regular guests from some great breweries do appear. Prices on the high side though, even for London. Worth it in some cases, less so in others.“

“Somewhat off the beaten track in Shoreditch (or at least away from the other main bars). Quite shiny and new and modestly sized, a vague cafe feel about it. Service was snappy and friendly. The beers were fucking expensive, even when adjusting for normal Mikkeller prices, but this was the Arizona Wilderness tap takeover. All in all decent. Wish it was a little more coveniently located. Well it is if you fancy a craft beer and followed by a strip bar. The famous Brown's is a stones throw away!!“

“Brewpub close to Shoreditch overground station. The brew kit is at the far end of the premises, visible behind glass. Around 12 taps which includes some brewed on site. Nice ambiance on Friday evening, just the right kind of busy.“

“Small, sparsely furnished corner bar in Shoreditch, easy to reach by overground, tube or bus. 20 taps including five dedicated to ‘Rick’ themed beers, presumably an ode to the Warrington crooner. Board prices weren’t too bad on my visit but I’ve seen some shockers that other people have posted. Nice to have visited but I probably won’t rush back“

“Decent, well-kept street corner pub over two floors, not far from the Old Street tube station. Four cask ales, a few craft beers among the kegs and a solid range of bottled and canned craft beers in a double fridge. Good vibe late on a Friday eve. Knowledgeable service from the girls behind the bar. (Visited with Per, Magne and Leif 11.01.2019).“

“It's always a pleasure to visit a Mikkeller Bar, this time in London within walking distance from both the Hoxton overground station, the Old Street tube and the Shoreditch overground station. A rather small street corner place with a triangular room, modern, clean and airy. Soft soul music in the back at my stay. A tap line of 20 beers, mostly Mikkeller, but also a few Warpigs brews and a some guest beers. Decent bottled menu. The draught beers are served in different sizes. Friendly service. Very relaxing on a Friday afternoon. (Visit during a pub crawl in the Shoreditch-Hoxton part of London 11.01.2019).“

“Central location in the busy Shoreditch area and easy to find along the high street. A long and a rather narrow room with a long bar next to the entrance followed by a kitchen, dining room and the brewery plant to the rear. Five of their own beers available on keg at my stay. A few guest ales on the four hand pumps. In addition, I counted 12 more beers on tap, including american version of Goose Island beers. A modern place with high stools and tables. Friendly and attentive service offering free taster of their beers, which can be bought in thirds on a sample tray. Good place to drink except for the noisy muzak. (Visited on a pub crawl in the Hoxton-Shoreditch area of London 11.01.2019).“

“Visited on 8th November 2018 for the Arizona Wilderness take over. Smart street corner bar which was fairly busy despite our early entrance around 4.30pm. 18 taps of which 10 were from Azw and the rest I think were all Mikkeller. Service was prompt and friendly althgouh it wasn't super busy. Prices are high with some of the Azw beers coming in at £7 to £9 for a third ! Definately a place to share as a team. Decent enough place but doubt I'll be a regular here unless good TTO's and in a group of 3 or more!“

“What a horrible place. Bouncers on the doors, very noisy, and extremely expensive. Brewery visible at far end. Lots of imports from USA Goose Island and 3 brewed on site allegedly. Plus a few guests including some on cask. Do not sell halves so 2 x two-thirds of the beer brewed on site was over £11 !! Won't be retuning :)“

“Small and sparingly appointed. Quite loud. The service I had was adequate. The pricing is, in general, extortionate. Annoyingly, they seem to not charge 1/3 or 1/2 the price for 1/3 or 1/2 of a pint (that always rankles). They've had some special beers on tap but nothing to really set them apart. If I'm nearby I will probably stop in to see if there's anything cool on tap, but its definitely not somewhere I would go out of my way for (unless they bring in some more exciting beer).“

“Only the second Mikkeller Bar I've been to, but like the Tokyo version it's a small affair, taking up the space of a former pub with a small bar and seated area. Prices are very high but the beer range is rare and high quality. Thirds are available and service is helpful. Crowd is an older wealthier hipster meets old beatnik crowd.I liked it but prices mean it's the kind of place it's best to drop by for a couple and then move on. Fairly accessible from the top of Shoredtich high street.“

“New bar around the corner from Shoreditch Station. This is what Goose Island should have done the first time around. Long American style beer bar with a fabulous looking brew kit at the end, behind glass. Range features a large number of Goose regulars alongside the brewed on site stuff and some of the rarer things. Good range of GI bottles behind that bar too. Food is decent pizzas and fries. GI have brought in American Canadian brewer Andrew Walton, formerly of Fourpure and early signs are very promising.“

“It is exactly what you expect from a brewdog bar, with the simple slightly hipster interior, their core range and some experimental beers and some guest beers. It gets crowded and loud, but they have some space outside, the service is efficient and the food looked good.“

“A pub with a small outside area in the back. When I was there it was quite crowded and way too loud, so you had to shout your order to the service, which made it an unpleasant visit. I assume it is much more comfortable when it's not that crowded and they don't turn the music volume to eleven.“

“Typical Brewdog décor and good service with their standbys on tap. Their guest tap list seemed bigger than some other locations in London. Much like all the other locations otherwise, was worth a stop halfway through a long walk I was taking.“
