68 /100 UNIT 17-18, LOCKWOOD INDUSTRIAL PARK, MILL MEAD ROAD For a long time I was the only guest when visiting the taproom late on a Sunday afternoon early in November. Quite large taproom with long benches and tables in the middle of the brewery tanks. Large outdoor seating as well. The serving bar is located close to the entrance offering ten Beavertown beers on tap and a few more on cans. Their beers are available in thirds with four in each flight. On this Sunday Tottenham was playing against Liverpool at White Hard Lane, but they did not show the match at the taproom. No Led Zeppelin music in the back. Otherwise a decent, quite typical taproom, with friendly service. Should be easy to find taking the Victoria tube to Tottenham Hale, walk straight through Tottenham Hale Village, and to the Lockwood Industrial Park, where Pressure Drop also is located, but not opened on Sundays. (Visited 06.11.2022). |
66 /100 True Craft (Bar) 68 WEST GREEN ROAD On our way to White Hard Lane we stopped for a few beers at this corner place, not far from the Seven Sisters underground station. Ten craft beers on the taps suppoted by canned beers in the fridge. Sour dough pizza place popular by families and young adults early on a Sunday afternoon. Friendly, informative service telling us about their popular house beer Tottenham Lager. (Visited with Leif and Magne, 06.11.2022). |
70 /100 UNIT 17-18, LOCKWOOD INDUSTRIAL PARK, MILL MEAD ROAD Good beer but very crowded when I visited, long queues for the bar (pre Covid) |
92 /100 UNIT 17-18, LOCKWOOD INDUSTRIAL PARK, MILL MEAD ROAD Liked the atmosphere, the beer is amazing here. Could go back any time. |
76 /100 True Craft (Bar) 68 WEST GREEN ROAD Visited July 2019. Modern style craft beer pub and making nice pizzas. Friendly staff . Good range of beers on tap, and on can / bottles as well. Beers served in good condition. Lots of seatings.. really nice and welcoming atmosphere.. free WiFi.. Being in the area for sure worth a visit . |
76 /100 True Craft (Bar) 68 WEST GREEN ROAD Visited 4/6/2019. Something of a craft beer oasis, very different to the other businesses in the area (as were the customers on this visit, early on a Tuesday evening). Quite busy, most tables occupied, giving the place a nice buzz (although one welltodo chap was mildly annoying laughing long and loud at his own jokes). 10 taps on offer plus a couple of full fridges. London craft focused with a smattering of others (had a decent Verdant on offer). Very friendly chap behind the bar. Furnishings are pretty basic but do the job. Certainly worth a visit if you happen to be wandering the area looking for exotic global products (on that note, recommend popping into Sam’s off licence over the road if you want expensive beers from Dem Rep of Congo). |
74 /100 True Craft (Bar) 68 WEST GREEN ROAD Visited on Monday, 25th Feb 2019. Corner plot, old pub converted into a single roomed bar with two counters, one for the keg beers, shelve and fridges brews and one for Sourdough Pizza. No cask ales, but a good selection of North London stuff, keg, bottled and canned (plus one or two Belgians, etc). Sound baffles in the ceiling as the hieght and minimalistic furnishings had produced an echo chamber of the place and it became very noisy with just conversation, it's worked. Pleasant chap behind the bar on my visit, beers and pizza's in fine order. |
78 /100 UNIT 17-18, LOCKWOOD INDUSTRIAL PARK, MILL MEAD ROAD I am literally a neighbor with these guys so I have visited the taproom many Saturdays. The ambiance is great if you are a beer lover ( Kegs, pumps etc inside, industrial scenery outside), the beers are fantastic (obviously, beavertown is a great craft beer maker) and the prices are cheap. The only problem is that it gets always too crowdy. Too many people, too little seats, so you must be armed with patience for everything (service, seating, toilets etc). |
56 /100 UNIT 16 COMPASS WEST ESTATE, 33 WEST ROAD This was at their new location in the same industrial estate. Tap room is under construction, so nothing is being served. They were nice enough to show me around though, and you can purchase bottles there. |
56 /100 Beehive (Bar) STONELEIGH ROAD This isn't a beer place really. They only had two cask beers on and a few keg (One Mile End, Five Points, Lagunitas) when I came in. Even giving them the benefit of the doubt (Spurs v Liverpool had just finished and was on the telly) it was a pretty pared-down selection. A couple of bottles from BrewHeadz saved the day selection-wise. Food is cheap, beer is not. And the music is way too loud. Not my kind of place. |
70 /100 UNIT 17-18, LOCKWOOD INDUSTRIAL PARK, MILL MEAD ROAD (Visited May 2018) Brewery tap room located in and industrial estate a five minute walk from Tottenham Hale tube station. A lot bigger than the brewery taps in the Bermondsey area, still with a fairly long queue to the bar, but with lots of seating outside and toilets easily available. 10 taps of quality beers, some Beavertown standards, some more rare stuff from the brewery and some guest beers (from Three Floyds on my visit). Cans available for take away sale. This was a sunny Saturday afternoon in May, so lots of people around, but there's plenty of seating and service was quite swift. A bit off the beaten track, but well worth a visit. |
82 /100 UNIT 17-18, LOCKWOOD INDUSTRIAL PARK, MILL MEAD ROAD Great place for beers in the summer. A huge parking inbetween some industrial buildings. Can get quite crowded but I love it. |
86 /100 UNIT 17-18, LOCKWOOD INDUSTRIAL PARK, MILL MEAD ROAD The taproom open most Saturday's, a 10 minute walk from Tottenham Hale tube station on the Victoria line. They offer a selection of up to 12 taps of (mostly) Beavertown beers. Expect the standard range and a decent amount of seasonals/specials available in 1/3 pints and above.
The taproom can get very busy and it's quite a small space ina working brewery so grabbing a table isn't always possible. Pop up food trucks usually on site to keep folk fed.
Events held here have had some bad press, usually down to not ticketing the event or being over ambitious with numbers but hopefully they will learn. Most definitely worth visiting if in London |
82 /100 UNIT 17-18, LOCKWOOD INDUSTRIAL PARK, MILL MEAD ROAD Popped by in June. Placed was packed. Service was a bit slow, but then it was exceptionally busy. |
80 /100 UNIT 17-18, LOCKWOOD INDUSTRIAL PARK, MILL MEAD ROAD Awesome tap room with large outside space and ability to buy cans and bottles on site, to drink there or to go. Really good value versus stores. Great for a summer day, not sure how it works out in bad weather... |
86 /100 UNIT 17-18, LOCKWOOD INDUSTRIAL PARK, MILL MEAD ROAD Frequent visitor on a Saturday. Great choice of taps - staple range plus regular new releases and collaborations. Take-away, growlers and souvenirs. Rotating guest kitchens. Only downside is that you need to get there early to secure a table. |
74 /100 UNIT 17-18, LOCKWOOD INDUSTRIAL PARK, MILL MEAD ROAD Very popular on the single day open. Seems to be the place to be so crowded and long lines for taps/sales. Limited selection taps and cans, though appears fresh. Definitely a Beavertown experience |
68 /100 UNIT 16 COMPASS WEST ESTATE, 33 WEST ROAD Decent taproom. Five beers on draft, four cask (gravity) and one keg. All core beers, alas - doesn’t seem like they do many taproom exclusives. Fair prices, friendly service. Lots of seating indoors and out. Nice viewing deck from which to see the brew kit. Overall, not a must-visit, but would make for a nice local hangout. |
90 /100 UNIT 17-18, LOCKWOOD INDUSTRIAL PARK, MILL MEAD ROAD Such a great experience every time! Don;t forget this place is essentially a big working brewery on an industrial estate, but the great atmosphere and constantly great fresh beer makes this experience worth it every single time! |
86 /100 UNIT 17-18, LOCKWOOD INDUSTRIAL PARK, MILL MEAD ROAD Visited multiple times - nice brewery on an industrial area. Quiet easy to find at 10 min from underground station. Really nice building, good terrace. Nice place inside, very large but very noisy too. Good beer selection from the brewery. Good price and friendly staff. Good shop and good price. Maybe one bad point, the toilet are really small and it can be really crowned. High recommended if you are visiting London breweries. One of the best place ! |
82 /100 UNIT 17-18, LOCKWOOD INDUSTRIAL PARK, MILL MEAD ROAD If you haven’t figured out Beavertown are one of the best breweries in the UK by now, there is little hope for you….. They open up their brewery on Saturdays 2pm – 8pm for the masses. It is located in Tottenham, but a short walk from Tottenham Hale tube station on the Victoria line, so is easier to get to than you might expect. The tap room part is in the main brewery building and offers a selection of up to 12 taps of (mostly) Beavertown beers. Expect the standard range and a decent amount of seasonals/specials available in 1/3 pints and above. Please note there is a deposit to be paid on glasses. The tap-room area is actually pretty small and can get cramped easily as this is where you also buy beer to go (can, occasional bottles and growler fill) as well as merchandise. The majority of seating is out front in the patio area where they have also more recently started a small can-only bar. Additional seating is in the brewery itself, which is kind of cool. There is always at least one food truck/stall outside to provide sustenance. Overall it is a really nice place to drink Beavertown beers, but I have to admit this place gets crazy busy due its popularity. I will continue to frequent, I just hope it doesn’t become a victim of its own success… |
60 /100 Beehive (Bar) STONELEIGH ROAD We did not get tickets for the match between Tottenham vs Manchester United, but our Spurs supporter was eager to watch the match near White Hart Lane, so we picked this one. A decent pub with three rooms; a lounge, the main room and a room with a big screen for watching football. Nice patio outside with BBQ options. Eight cask ales on hand pumps from regional breweries like Sambrooks, Five Points, Southwark and Redemption. 12 on keg, mostly the usual fizzy stuff, and a few interesting bottled beers. Polite service. Good and friendly vibe even for a Hammers supporter (Visited with Internklubben, 10.04.2016). |
82 /100 UNIT 17-18, LOCKWOOD INDUSTRIAL PARK, MILL MEAD ROAD Good place to visit when you are in London |
98 /100 UNIT 17-18, LOCKWOOD INDUSTRIAL PARK, MILL MEAD ROAD Worth a looong ride - but we had a blast and loads of good beers! Thanks a lot Logan! |
80 /100 UNIT 17-18, LOCKWOOD INDUSTRIAL PARK, MILL MEAD ROAD Much much better than any other microbrewery in London. Lots of space and facilities, plus the beers are really good. A bit out of your way, but for sure its worth visiting it. |
86 /100 UNIT 17-18, LOCKWOOD INDUSTRIAL PARK, MILL MEAD ROAD Visited here for the Rainbow Project Festival and had a blast. Prime location in an industrial area between a park and the rail station. Easy to walk to and well stocked with their beers as well as guest taps. The festival itself was incredible and really showcased what they’re cable of putting together. Clearly expanding the scale of their operation, but focused on maintaining quality. Definitely a fan. |
82 /100 UNIT 17-18, LOCKWOOD INDUSTRIAL PARK, MILL MEAD ROAD Surprisingly easy to get to via the reliably quick Victoria Line. The huge brewery space reveals just how ambitious these guys are. There’s plenty of outdoor seating and areas for groups to congregate. The availability of games like cornhole and foosball lend this place the feel of a large American destination brewery. There were roughly 10 beers on tap including a couple of brewery-exclusive sours. The lineup was rounded out by their excellently dialed-in core beers (Gamma Ray etc.). Service and prices were solid. Like Brew By Numbers, all beers consumed on site require a glass deposit. Normally, I don’t like glass deposits, but I do understand the policy. No food’s available. However, food trucks seem to be a permanent fixture on brewery open days. Overall, Beavertown are probably now one of the top 3 breweries in the country. I would absolutely recommended a visit to anyone interested in trying their beers. |
88 /100 UNIT 17-18, LOCKWOOD INDUSTRIAL PARK, MILL MEAD ROAD The place to taste Beaver town and their collaboration beers...I had a great evening there, tasting excellent special beers....a good place to visit if there is an event. |
82 /100 UNIT 17-18, LOCKWOOD INDUSTRIAL PARK, MILL MEAD ROAD Visited a few weeks ago. A bit far out when looking at the map but easily and speedily accessible through the Victoria line and a five minute walk from the tube. The prices, for London, are fantastic and you can stock up on cans to take with you. More spacious than Bermondsey breweries with outdoor seating and there was some kind of BBQ stand outside as well. Worth the trip |
82 /100 UNIT 17-18, LOCKWOOD INDUSTRIAL PARK, MILL MEAD ROAD Visited here for the first time, for the launch of Skull King. Despite being in a state of transition, there was a good feel to the place, with efficient, friendly staff. Great prices for the beer. The food concession (Deeney’s I think they were called), was spot on. Nothing to dislike. Definitely one I’d go out of my way to revisit. |
80 /100 UNIT 17-18, LOCKWOOD INDUSTRIAL PARK, MILL MEAD ROAD Visited during RBESG ’14 We got a great reception, and the place to ourselves, it being rather early morning. Factory building, quite spacious, wooden benches and good atmosphere. Really felt welcome. Nice selection of their own beers, which are top notch. Food was catered for by a truck outside and a woman sellin Caribbean delicacies at the entrance. Nice visit. |
80 /100 UNIT 17-18, LOCKWOOD INDUSTRIAL PARK, MILL MEAD ROAD We visited the The Beavertown Brewery Tap on Saturday 4th April 2015 (Easter weekend). I was quite surprised at the size of the set up here. There are two distinct areas, as you enter there is a large area for drinking, however on usual day to day operations this is where all of the beer appears to be stored with pallets and pallets of cans, along with Key Kegs. But clearly on a Saturday it is set out with simple wooden bench tables, and a couple of large wooden barrels as leaners along with a table tennis table for entertainment, this was constantly in use whilst we were here. The other area houses the brewery, so rows of fermenting vessels and canning machine here. The Saturday tap bar is tucked away in this room along with a fridge with cans and a couple of rarer bottled offerings. It is like a much larger version of the Four Pure set up. I think that there were about eight beers on tap, these were mostly the core range but with a couple of others such as Moose Fang. I thought that the prices were very, very good with all beers between £2.00 - 2.50 a half, it never mentioned/listed third pint measures but I was asked if I wanted a third when I ordered. Just a note of caution, to be prepared when coming here as this is a cash only bar. Despite being a bit out of the way, getting here isn’t actually so very difficult, it’s just 7-8 minutes stroll from Tottenham Hale which in turn is connected via the Victoria line or alternatively national rail option to Liverpool Street Station which is just 10 minutes away. I understand that they have a different food option each week, this week someone was doing Colombian food. With all of the new apartments going up around here, I think that Beavertown have hit on a good thing, I know it was Easter Saturday but there were well over a hundred folks here today. We really liked it and if we time it just right (like we did today) we can catch the train back to Ponders End 4-5 minutes away and then a fifteen minute walk to the campsite. |
80 /100 UNIT 17-18, LOCKWOOD INDUSTRIAL PARK, MILL MEAD ROAD functional brewery tap in a rather bland and characterless industrial park. Easy walk from the Tube (Victoria line) felt safe although was deserted on a chilly Saturday afternoon around 14:30! cannot fault the staff, friendly, informative and welcoming. Beer is stunning! |
76 /100 UNIT 17-18, LOCKWOOD INDUSTRIAL PARK, MILL MEAD ROAD Way out from the main part of London and about a 10 minute walk from the station on the Victoria line.
The tap room is alright - could use a bit more seating or standing room but works fine. It’s cash only which can be an issue sometimes.
A lot of taps and beers to buy so the selection isn’t bad. There are food trucks and stands but it’s often expensive and portions are somewhat small.
Great to go if you’re looking for some good beer but don’t expect much else. |
76 /100 UNIT 17-18, LOCKWOOD INDUSTRIAL PARK, MILL MEAD ROAD went with the wife for the spanish tap take over. a really good tap room loads of room to move about and have a look good tap and bottle/can selection and they had a Colombian food stall outside a good day out |
86 /100 UNIT 17-18, LOCKWOOD INDUSTRIAL PARK, MILL MEAD ROAD Ten minute walk from Tottenham Hale and not impossible to find with a bit of research beforehand. It is located in an industrial area and pretty much looks like a brewery on the inside. The tap room has around ten keg offerings and a fridge with bottles and cans. The people working there are nice and talkative folks and the beers are great. Food was available from a pop up food stand outside, looked good, but I did not try it. Seating and ping pong available inside in the storage area, and lots of space outside to hang out if the weather permits. Definitely worth a visit and a good way to spend a Saturday afternoon. |
80 /100 UNIT 17-18, LOCKWOOD INDUSTRIAL PARK, MILL MEAD ROAD Great Brewery taproom here, visited on a Saturday late afternoon/early evening during the "rule of thirds IPA" event. Lots of beers to choose from, both their own as well as co-labs and others. Managed to find somewhere in the end to sit and enjoy our beers.
Only downside I can think off is Location, is rather out of the way from central London (and even more so for us South Londoners) but worth the effort at least to make a change to the usual South London Bermondsey beer mile saturdays. |
82 /100 UNIT 17-18, LOCKWOOD INDUSTRIAL PARK, MILL MEAD ROAD Solid brewery tap room right here. Keeping it a simple layout with ten taps behind the bar and a small fridge of bottles (one-off and seasonal releases, collaborations etc). Limited seating inside with more outside as well as food trucks parked up dishing out tasty food stuff. T-Shirts can be purchased at the bar - nice artwork on show from their graphic designer too. Ping (beer) pong table, good people and a fun vibe can be found here. |
82 /100 UNIT 17-18, LOCKWOOD INDUSTRIAL PARK, MILL MEAD ROAD Located in an industrial area. A large storage room/serving area with chairs and tables. Another room where the bar and brewing kit is. Good selection of their own beer on tap and some on bottle. Also found some collaboration beers on bottle. Got a tour of the brewery and a great service all in all. A small food cart set up shop at the entrance after a little bit so got a bit of food as well. |
86 /100 UNIT 17-18, LOCKWOOD INDUSTRIAL PARK, MILL MEAD ROAD I love Beavertown and was excited to finally make it out to the Tap Room a couple of weeks ago. Very similar set up to Fourpure, big airy brewery with plenty of seating. Great selection of Beavertown beers available at very reasonable prices. My one gripe would be that they don’t serve 1/3 measures but that’s not a big deal. It’s a must visit if you’re in London. |
