“A new looking old style pub with a pair of cask ales on from Clavell & Hind, they also had tap options. The casks were in great condition. Friendly staff.“

“I wouldn't normally bother adding a supermarket but got to give credit here - must have had something like 50 different bottles from local breweries in and around the Cotswolds - fair play and really worth a visit if you're in the area and want to pick up a lot of local stuff all in one place.“

“Visited with my parents for the brewery tour 04/08/2019. Apparently they've just started adding Sunday tours in and as it happened we were the only ones on this one so we basically had a private tour! The brewhouse was a little bigger than what I expected based on what can be seen from the outside, all nicely set up. Nigel was a superb tour guide, very knowledgeable about lager brewing (Cotswold Brew Co's specialist area), he explained the processes they go through from start to finish, all explained with passion and enthusiasm, very professional. The tour was punctuated either side by tasting sessions. Starting from low-high in terms of ABV (2.2% low alc lager up to 7.3% imperial Pilsner), this also included their cider as well as a gin and vodka they produce. The pours were generous and at the end we could basically help ourselves. At the end we got a complimentary bottle of our choice and got to keep the full size pint glass too. All in all an excellent tour, they have loads of 5 star reviews on TripAdvisor and I can confirm they are well deserved. Also worth noting the brewery is situated very close to "The Slaughter's" - that is the small Cotswold towns of Lower Slaughter and Upper Slaughter which are beautiful places to visit, though very big tourist traps.“

“Visited on 30 May 2017. A freehouse on the outskirts of one of the Cotswolds’ most popular tourist towns. Beer choice was two offerings from Stroud and one from Hook Norton, with a couple of keg craft beers and the usual lagers. A guest beer is always offered, and Tiny Rebel and Salopian were due on next, so the choice is pretty good for this part of England. Service was friendly and the pub pleasant to spend time in. Also offers B&B. Worth searching out, particularly in comparison with some of the tourist traps located in the town centre.“
