68 /100 Slaters Arms (Bar) CRAG LANE Bradley has a considerable number of buildings so it’s stuck somewhere between a village and town, but if you’re approaching it from the south this pub is practically the first building you encounter. There’s a large car park around the back and plenty of tables to sit at if the weather is good, if it is not then the roaring open fire in front of the bar is the place to be. This is a lovely country pub that serves three cask ales and regularly rotates displaying a large array of used pump clips on the ceiling, there’s also an older recipe bitter available from a keg. It’s not that spacious but that serves to give it a very intimate and cosy atmosphere with plenty of charm. There is a more spartan back area where dogs are allowed, although on my visit there was a party going on so my boys got to sit on the carpet in front of the fire! |
