“A long and fairly narrow JDW, with a good selection of local beers from North and East Yorkshire. Worth popping in, should you find yourself in Selby.“

“Visited on a miserably wet afternoon in July 2019, using the 415 bus from York. A welcoming pub just opposite the bus station. I enjoyed four varied styles of Doghouse beers and there were many guest beers on offer as well. Service was friendly and the pub had a great atmosphere. One of my best pub visits of 2019.“

“Visited on 25th May 2019. Around 5 mins from Selby station on a busy main road sits this place. Nice looking building with cake in the windows, only had 10 mins so didn't view the building other than the room with the bar in. 6 casks and 14 keg beers, lots of Little Black Dog plus guests from the UK. Service friendly, prices good. Thirds available. A great little place and highly recommended. Plenty of ticks to be had here“

“Located amongst the various shops on the main commercial street, there’s little beauty in this building on the exterior, however the interior is striking enough and appealing. There’s a lot of wood paneling throughout and it is painted in light cream and blues giving it a nautical feel without this being the style. There’s very little information on the walls, this gives way to a lot of art work that compliments the colour scheme. The front of the ground floor pub is all seating with the well-lit bar towards the rear. There are two rows of real ale pumps here.“
