Star Inn (Bar)
“In the small but dense village of Geddington, just south of Corby, and split by the main road running through it, this pub is directly in front of the main reason you’ll come here, the Eleanor Cross. This is the best preserved of the original twelve crosses that mark Edward I’s commemoration of his wife’s final journey to London to be buried, with the most famous or well-known being Charing Cross. This pub probably does well out of its position for those that come here as it’s just a few metres away. The pub itself has a very local feel to it and could do with a refurbishment, however it’s popular enough and there’s a good real ale selection for the size of the village as well as having some cider box options as well. If you are here on a good weather day though you can enjoy the splendour of the near 750 year old monument from one of its tables out front, and the locale is pretty too. “
