66 /100 MAIN STREET Beautiful place in nice surrounding. Sunny outdoor patio area. Inside has lots of wood and brick, but is also bright from the big windows. Six casks and a couple of ciders on offer, nothing too exciting. Worth a stop if passing by. |
64 /100 MAIN STREET This place was georgous... huge outside seating artea, lots under cover, walls between section, lots of trees ... Nice enough if standard old inn like place... Dear in that soft drinks were dearer than beer, which alwatys pisses me off. Beer selection was 8-10 but very run of mill regional sort of stuff nothing inspired. So i have real mixed feeling if you out for drive this is a beauty spot to stop in, but its not woth any time out of way. It was also end of a long single track road from the main road 9at least the way we went)
only scores as high as it does due to suroundings |
62 /100 MAIN STREET An old Coaching Inn on the edge of the Althorp Estate, now famous as Princess Diana country. Actually there is little to be seen of the ex Royal within the pub and village so not as touristy as expected, which is to its credit. A quiet ambiance apart from some lairy horsey types trying to outdo one another. Very pleasant and welcoming with around 3 rotating guest beers. Oh and a large inglenook fire place too, I know this interests some :-) |
