| 52 /100 Butchers Arms (Bar) MAIN STREET “If you like your pubs with some literary history this should be for you, Fringford is Candleford in Flora Thompson's Lark Rise to Candleford. It's the only pub left in Fringford, on the edge of the small village. It is quite an imposing building, dominating the area, Ivy covered with a grey stone behind, unlike many of the ironstone pubs in the area. The beers are well kept but from a nationally available list of regulars. The Sunday dinners are fantastic.“ |
