“Visit for lunch. Good wide selection of cask ales 3 from Welbeck Abbey including a house beer. Harthill Village Brewery no longer here. Pleasant 2 room pub with games room with full size snooker table which is different. Food good.“

“I thoroughly enjoyed this place. Stopped in for Sunday lunch after a very stressful two hours in the parking lot that substitutes for the M1 and associated ring road around Nottingham. The pub is in a small, idyllic village, right on the High Street, and near some nice walking trails. It has its own car park, as well as a few picnic tables to one side. Inside are three separate rooms, one either side and a snooker room in the back filled with local lads. Five beers on offer, and staff were kind enough to let me do some small samples in addition to a few halves. Beers were tasty enough, well done and not too exciting. Half pints were a mere 1.50. The food was a highlight, with large portions and more vegetables and potatoes than I knew what to do with, for a mere 7.95. Well worth the short deviation form the chaos of the M1.“
