64 /100 UNIT 3, GLASSHOUSE LANE Nice place, very close to the Imperial (Just behind it). Friendly service. They only have their own beers on tap, 5 currently and 1 bottled. Wait to be seated. A half costs around 1.50. It has a view of the canal. I can see myself being a regular here. |
66 /100 Factory Foods (Grocery Store) PASTURES ROAD more of a food place but they always have a decent selection of beers. Go pat the 1st 2 rooms into the 3rd and look to your left. There's hand sanitiser on the way in. Don't enter unless there's a free trolley. There's no wifi. Always a weird selection of beers, usually close to the best before date so I would avoid the IPA's
It's next to the Pastures Lodge pub (google should find it). It's open to the public, no membership needed |
56 /100 ARCADIA HALL, CLIFF STREET Strange place this one, odd atmosphere and eccentric (not in a good way) barman who just got on my bloody nerves the whole time I was there. Beer selection was fair and my pint of stout was drinkable but really not somewhere I would return to. |
46 /100 Falcon (Old Mill) (Bar) 12 MAIN STREET None of their ales were available when I called in, so had a bottle of cider to pass the time. No redeeming features, a characterless pub that you find in so many towns these days. |
74 /100 ARCADIA HALL, CLIFF STREET Decent selection of cask beers, their own plus guests, and recently a craft keg tap added. House beers include a regular range of decent but unexciting brews and far more interesting one-offs and collabs |
74 /100 ARCADIA HALL, CLIFF STREET Good tap and bottle selection including their own beers and guest beers. Good pricing too at about 2.80 a pint for guest beers and 2.30 a pint for their own beers below 5%. Free WiFi. There is a seating area outside. They have live music here too. |
70 /100 Old Market Hall (JDW) (Bar) MARKET STREET Not sure which is my favourite place in Mexborough, this or the Imperial. This place is more popular, and has a good selection of beers. The Imperial has also a good selection including some of their own. You choose. |
44 /100 Falcon (Old Mill) (Bar) 12 MAIN STREET The only reason to come to this place is that they are owned by the Old Mill and have 2 of their beers on tap. the other beers are not worth mentioning. They need bottled beers or more tap beers from their own brewery to stand out from the crowd. The Imperial is far better in Mexborough |
