“Atmospheric corner shop with corner entrance looking like an old style newsagents converted into a purveyor of all kinds of alcoholic beverages. Although you could use it as an off-licence it's certainly not one, with its fantastic array of mostly canned craft immediately upon you either side of its doorway. Everything has it's own area such as its foreign selections, with the very local stuff and Yorkshire brewers currently located on the right hand external wall after you walk in. There's no shortage of options here.“

“Just off the Barber Road close to the Dram Shop in this suburb of Sheffield immediately to the west of the city centre. It's a multi-roomed pub around a bar central in the building but effectively the hallway. One of the front rooms has heritage style seating. The two back rooms are large enough for functions or events. Thornbridge own the pub so expect their brews here with plenty of cask options.“

“Lovely shop with a great selection of beer (amongst other things). Friendly knowledgeable owner. Worth the walk up the hill. Prices were reasonable.“

“Smart, multi roomed boozer, with a full sized snooker table, which, as far as I know, is the only one in a pub in Sheffield. It’s all Thornbridge on the bar, apart from a couple of other lager/cider fonts. What sets this place apart, though, is the licencees obvious passion for the out of the ordinary. Bracia on cask? Three year old, bottled beers in the cellar? Brand new Thornbridge brews? You’re as likely to find them here as anywhere. The music played in here is, on occasion, intrusive, and out of character, and it’s often draughty and cold. If it wasn’t for the beer choice and beer condition, I wouldn’t make a special effort to traverse the city to visit. But I do.“

“Reasonable selection with mainly local and Belgium. Small selection of USA beer. Unlikely to see much of the ’now’ breweries releases and do need to keep a eye on the dates as quite a few were out of date. Well priced. Good for thornbridge range.“

“Terrific bottle shop in Walkley. Good selection of british micros and craft breweries. Small selection of US and european bottles. Also an impressive selection of whiskies and wine. Helpful and knowledgable staff. Bottles can be a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. Easily the best bottle shop in Sheffield. “

“Excellent selection of Whisky and Wine. Good selection of British ales, with noteable selections from Brewdog and Thornbridge available as well as local specialities like the Bradfield brewery. Reasonable selection of Belgian beers and German lagers with a rather small side helping of Americans.“

“Biased but this is my local - solid on certain English breweries, usually has most of the Thornbridge range. Great range of Belgiums (but no Orval!), reasonable germans and let down a little but a lacklustre US stock. But they’re nice, and every now and then they surprise you.“

“Great selection, best I’ve found in Sheffield. Mostly UK ales and Belgians, a few noteworthy US bottles and some German lagers. As stated by mcberko prices are on the high side but there are some things you can’t find elsewhere. More interesting bottles available at The Devonshire Cat for take-away but pricier there. All in all a proper beer store.“
