La carte et les associations sont très intéressantes, l’équipe est cool et passionnée, les explications sont toujours données avec plaisir. Les recettes sont sympas mais peut-être un peu superficielles, on n’y trouve pas forcément son compte sur le rapport avec le prix.

Next to the bar "La Fine Mousse". I have been there twice during a 3-day journey in Paris. Concept : a side order with a beer. Interesting choices. My beer was poured before each meal. Very friendly and competent staff. Great !

Finally got to dine at the classy looking place next to the famous bar by the same name. Don’t be mistaken though -- this is a classy Parisian restaurant in any sense, except it serves beer rather than wine. From the quite formal service, the extremely French cuisine, the tiny menu choice, the lengthy evening you will enjoy... everything is upscale classic French resto here. Except the beers of course -- these are optionally matched to the courses (either 3 larger or 6 small ones, with 3 larger or 3 small beer tasters) or you pick form the extensive beer menu which offers a great variety and has an honest and logical focus on French producers. I like how the best French brewers, Mont Salève, Valée du Gifre, Thiriez, Agrivoise, etc., are all present. The food was very well made and despite the (for non-French) perhaps challenging ingredients of clams, rognon (kidney), poitrine (pork belly), and the like, we loved the tastes and delicate touches. This restaurant then, as it turns out, has nothing to do with the Anglosaxon idea of beer restaurants, or even the Belgian version. It is through and through French and upperclass. Except you drink beer with your meals. This also means there is room for a La Fine Mousse (or whoever steps into this) bistro. Because as much as we enjoyed the chic experience, you also pay very chic prices...
