Not a great beer selection, even for a BevMo, and the whiskey selection is atrocious. Staff was not very knowledgable. I didn’t pick up any beer, but noticed that they had the wine that had just won Wine Enthusiasts wine of the year. The lady who was handling check out was wearing a "Wine Expert" pin on her name tag, she had never had it, but more shockingly had never had nothing from the producer (a well know producer at that). Prices are BevMo prices. I’d say that you are better off driving a few blocks over to Total Wine.
Pretty big and they were good when they opened, much like the Glendora location. Pretty close to TAPS and BJs and the mall if you want to visit something else in the area. Nowadays fairly average for a Bevmo.
I was in the area today and I figured I would check this BevMo out. I wasn’t really expecting too much from a BevMo, and was not wowed, but I certainly wasn’t let down.
The usual selection of California’s larger craft breweries, along with a smattering of other West Coast breweries and a few from other parts of the country. Some Deschutes, Anderson Valley, Lost Abbey, Port, plenty of Stone, a few Ommegang, a fair amount of North Coast, some Allagash...I can’t remember all of them. Also the more "mainstream" imports, not any real finds there.
The service was okay. I don’t really need any help at a BevMo, because they probably don’t have anything special that I need to ask for anyway.
Prices were the standard, with a few deals here and there. Certainly not a destination, but a decent place if you’re in Brea.
So glad to find a great outlet for adult beverages (and more!), with outstanding selection, superb customer service right in the heart of LA/Orange Cty. They aren’t warehouse prices, mind you, but you can probably find it here, and at a fair price
I drove out of my way to this bevmo to pick up a bottle their website said they had in stock. Unfortunately the beer in question was not there, however i really enjoyed the service. The selection is good for me, I’m new to serious beer consumption, so they all look good. The best thing about the place was that the staff was knowledgeable about beer and willing to really take the time to talk to you. If I’m going to spend a few bucks on new beers I’ll definitely make the trek here, if not I’ll stick to the store in Cypress.
decent selection of beers around the globe with a few nice local micro favorites. new surprises dont come around too often. on rare occasions youll find a new mag, or a seasonal (i.e. utopias).
best experience here is the friday late afternoon beer tasting.
