As stated by one reviewer, this store is an oasis in a desert . The Home Brew Haus has all of the supplies you need for Home Brewing, from extract kits to all grain and more. Grain is milled on site. If they don’t have it just ask and they will get it. The beer selection consists of hard to get craft beers/microbrews from all over the Unites States, from Rogue to Dragon’s Milk and more. If you don’t see it just ask and he will try to get it for you. Plenty of parking. Owner is very active in local Brew Club

NOTE 6-17-12: The owner retired a couple of months ago. Homebrew Haus is closed. This store caters more to the home brewer, but carries a small (but growing) selection of micros. You’ll find a few of the Stone beers, Aventinus, beers from Unibroue, DFH, Maredsous, a few porters, etc. Small selection of singles. I see that "macro" is checked off, but a few sixes of Sam Adams is the only "big name" I saw in there. None of the A-B swill. Hopefully folks in the eastern NC area will check this place out. If the owner sees the demand, he will very likely broaden his selections. Also, if he doesn’t have it, he keeps a "wants" list and will try to get it for you.

Found this guy via the internet. Dick is the owner. Close to where I live out in the sticks of eastern NC. Has a pretty good selection of beers. I was astounded when I found the particular beer that is considered well on RB.com. Felt so damn lucky! Thanks Dick ;) Has quite a bit of home brew supplies and a fair amount of good quality beers and ales. Theres really no other place close, except maybe Wilmington, which is about 1 1/2 to 2 hours away. Thanks Dick!

This shop is like an oasis in the desert. Well over 50 beers in stock at all times. Maybe not many to big city people but a great selection for New Bern and they are still growing.
