I like this place quite a bit. Very Japanese styled interior with a low counter and chairs. Food is solid: yakibuta (just like yakitori but with pork instead) and other Japanese izakaya-style delights. Beers were in good condition, selection better than most. Just keep track of what you are ordering (food and beer wise) and make sure the check matches up with your total.

New izakaya located in Nishi-Koyama offering a solid rotation of j-craft and nihonshu. The place is run by 2 experienced guys formerly from Baird. Beers are served in 2 sizes, ok prices, usuhari glassware. Nihonshu are served in one size, the bartender is more than happy to explain you the various styles and serving recommendations. Classic izakaya food with a focus on yakitori, delicious and decently price. Definitely a nice addition to the Meguro-area scene and one of the few options in town with traditional Japanese food and craft beer.

Nice new place. Definite Izakaya feel to it, but non-smoking and with craft beer. No cover charge too. Decent selection of Japanese craft, have heard it will get more interesting too. Lots of sake as well. Definitely something different from a lot of the new bars that have opened recently.
