Visited here twice during our stay. Both times we were welcomed by the staff. Six draught beers, two AIPA styles, one dark, one wheat, one lager and a pale ale. Bottle selection looked extensive, the ones we tried were generally excellent and the staff were very good at recommending beers to us. Food was reasonable too. (visited 14/6/17 and 17/6/17)
Ambiance The ground level floor is essentially a beer store, with a couple of tables and chairs, while the cellar, which serves as a bar and restaurant, has a very cosy and intimate athmosphere Service The staff is quick to offer you a seat, and clearly love and know beer, and are able to make good recommendations Selection Predominantly czech beers, with a couple of American, British, and Belgian beers. They have more than 200 different beers on bottle, and always keep six locally brewed beers on tap. Food If you like, or simply want to try traditional Czech food, this is a good place to do so. The staff won’t hesitate to recommend a beer that pairs well with your food Value As it isn’t located in the Old Town, the prices are very reasonable
Great place to eat and drink beer. The food is great and comes at a sweet price. 6 Taps and loads of bottles, the bottles are a bit expensive compared to the food and taps. Chose to sit downstairs at the tables or upstairs more pub like. No Wi-Fi though :(
Gradually wearing in nicely. Downstairs is foodier, ground level beerier but the range of beers on display shows the intention to introduce locals to Belgian, British and American beers, plus Czech. Smoke-free and well-lit., an excellent short choice of Czech drafts. I would still like to see more Matuška, Permon, Falcon and the like.
