Un MUST para todos los amantes de las cervezas lámbicas. Visitado en 2015, hice el tour y es impresionante como hacen las cervezas a la usanza de 1900

I went there a long time ago with Cico, I went back to Brussels but I never took the time to go back. It was a really nice experience, we came just like normal visitors, even though the atmosphere and the experience were just really interesting, For a beerhunter, it is a place that you really have to visit, in this crazy city of Brussels, the area is a bit on the move.

When I was there I was with some big names of the Italian craft beer scene so we were hosted from Jean personally.. we got the chance to talk a lot with him and we had special bottles plus the "usual stuff " among them a gueuze 40 years old !!!! That said it’s obvious my visit was perfect and I soaked up entirely the atmosphere there .. but I’m pretty sure this place would deserve a rating near 100 even with a " regular " visit for the beauty of the building itself and quality of the beers .. thank you jean !!

Not really much new you can say about this place. If you are lucky and catch the eyes of the owners they can be generous and open rare unknown bottles. A must stop.

Visited on a Thursday and Friday. Small and rather cool, located within easy walking distance from central subway or train stations. The interior has different parts, from a counter to order beer, another counter to buy bottles, to a small-ish area for drinking the beer, followed by the bottling machine and huge stacks of bottled beers to the restroom in the basement. It works, but seems random and makes it feel like you sit in the middle of something which doesn’t belong. Anyway, there was a good bottle list with some small pours available for the more regular beers. Also contained drink-in only beers and older vintages like Carignan or a Zwanze 2013. Prices are good. A place to stay in way too long...

A bit hidden, but easily reachable by foot from bruxelles midi. I didn’t take the tour, but visited twice in one day to taste some lambics. The beer from the glass is 3 euros and a good value, bottles are pretty expensive, but as many are almost exclusive to the brewery worth it. Buying the normal bottles is also much cheaper than in any bottleshop. A must go for every sourhead in Brussels.

Visited with Miro, the day after with kraddel. The self guided tour is very affordable at 7 euros which buys you two tasters at the end of the tour. The brewery is remarkable, a piece of history. Luckily we came early so there was nobody on tour but us. The brewery was closed during second visit, but Jean let us in to share a bottle which I really appreciate. Nice tasting area, we shared a bunch of bottles there. Five beers were served by glass, and 12 more bottles available. Prices were very good especially if you consider what resellers charge for Cantillon. We planned to stay hour and the half and in the end we spent more than 4 hours enjoying lambics. A must visit in my eyes and I think many would agree.

ok...not a lambic fan at all, but the self-guided tour was great. also, the samples are well worth it. i wished i liked a lambic, then this would be an awesome stop.
