Old Greig 7,0 % alk. vol. on vahvan makuinen old ale. Kauniin kuparinpunaisen oluen tuoksussa löytyy alkoholia, lempeää mallasta ja terävää humalaa. Voimakkaan maun myötä erottuu hedelmäisyyttä ja miellyttävä maltainen jälkimaku.

Punertavan ruskea, melko kirkas olut vaahtoaa reilusti. Peruslaadukas jouluale.

I didn’t care for this one much at all. Couldn’t decide if this was supposed to be a brown ale or a porter ( or an old ale I guess) but in any case it was quite heavy, roasty and just not enjoyable on a fine summer day on the island in Helsinki.

TEJA (4274) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAY 29, 2016
Draught at the Soumenlinna brewery restaurant. No / tiny head. Clear red brown color. Dark caramell and mild roasted aroma with-a-tuch of chocolate. Sweet caramell and chocolate taste with a firm body. The sweetness disappear fast to give a balanced lingering bitterness.

Bottle. Pours a dark auburn with a small, off-white head. Aroma is soda, red fruits, some butter, toffee, caramel, semi-sweet. Taste is red fruits, red apples, some butter. Some breadiness, caramel raisin, hard fruit candy. Not too pleasant.

A dark brown beer, a head is small and blond. Aroma has breadyness and berries, some chocolate. Nice. Taste has bread and red currants, herbs, toffee and some harsh bitterness. Almost medum bodied, but could be more strenght, low carbonation. Decent beer, bready with berries.

Clear deep mahogany, one finger beige head turns foggy fast. Malty, bit ash, dry, light caramel notes, mild aromas and bit one-sided. Medium body, soft to almost watery, sweet, long malty finish, dark syrupy bread, minimal dark fruits, raisins. Bit boring.

mile (4367) - Helsinki, FINLAND - NOV 23, 2015
Bottle. Dark amber, small to average and fully diminishing head. Moderate, malty and sweetish aroma, some caramel with faint roastiness and light alcohol. Body is medium, malty and sweetish flavor, some caramel and light bread, faint fruitiness with light alcohol. Finish is average, malty and lightly sweetish, some caramel and light bread with faint roastiness, light - some alcohol. Caramel sweetish strong ale - not overly too sweet though (due to 7%). Quite one-dimensional/lacks character.
