06-09-17 // tasting flight at The porterhouse Central, Dublin. Amber golden, almost clear. Strong malty, some sweetness along with a mild hop bitterness. Michael27 (2358) - Berlin, GERMANY - NOV 15, 2017
Frisch vom Hahn im Brewpub. Dunkles, klares Amber mit dünner Schaumdecke. Sehr versteckter Alkohol hinter einem etwas unscheinbaren Körper. Gut ausbalancierte Mischung englischer Hopfensorten. Sebilinz (2621) - Linz, AUSTRIA - SEP 28, 2017
Bottle. Brown body with white head. Aroma is malty. Taste is malty. Aftertaste is balanced. Fad we will say in Austria. Best after a crisis with your wife on a beach out of the bottle. fdomig (1028) - München, GERMANY - JUL 21, 2017
1/2 pint at the brewpub Dublin. Aroma is malt, lots of hops. Appearance is pale amber with a thick Hite foam. Taste is bitter and very light sweet. Oily, dry. Great. Benzai (16685) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - MAR 11, 2017
Tap @ The Porterhouse, Dublin shared with Niilstrong. Clear amber color, average sized off-white to beige head. Smell and taste malts, herbal hops, slightly medicinal, a bit sweet. Decent body and carbonation. Hmm not my kind of beer.

Bottle. Pours bronze-brown with light beige head. Nose of bready malt, raisins, and toffee with some alcohol. Bread crust with raisin and caramel notes along with some subtle chocolate. Some bitterness in the dry finish.

At Cerveceria Internacional. Lunch with David. With russian salad + bratwurst + chorizo picante with rochefort montadito. In tulip glass. Some caramel but a very boring and flat brew. Served too cold. Had no foam, was it in good shape? bdleedahl (600) - , Saskatchewan, CANADA - NOV 19, 2016
Overly bitter unfortunately. Not advertised as an ipa on their menu in London, but it is, and lacking malt to back it up.

Pours a reddish orange color with a light head. Light hop aroma. A nice strong malt forward flavor.

My Bottom Line:
Added sugars and alcohol warmth catch the palate off guard, as leafy hop bitterness and fruity esters eventually succeed in gaining the most interest.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sumptuous head of foam crowns the deep amber shine.
-Alcohol should not be perceived at this strength.
-Mouthfeel is soft and lean.
-This drinks like a mediocre Belgian-style Strong Ale, but without the characterful yeast.
