othaus Non-alcoholic Hefeweizen is brewed with wheat malt and brewer’s yeast, which is typical of the variety. Aside from the light bitter hop flavors of 14 IBU’s, it also has an original gravity of 14.5%. Just like its alcoholic counterpart, a hand-selected top-fermented yeast is used as opposed to one that’s bottom-fermented. Our Hefeweizen’s refreshing and fruity flavors are retained through the gentle dealcoholization process. In contrast to our Rothaus Non-alcoholic Tannenzäpfle, our Non-alcoholic Hefeweizen goes unfiltered to the bottling process.

UPDATED: MAR 28, 2019 28.03.2019 -- 0.5l bottle in liebefeld, bb 04.11.2018. pours a hazy deep golden with a dense frothy head. aroma of banana, slight caramel candy. flavour of citrus, banana, bread, unripe apricots. light body. overall I find that non-alcoholic hefeweizen manage to hide the lack of alcohol better than regular lagers, this one is no exception.

UPDATED: JAN 16, 2019 Bottle - murky dark golden color, white head. poor non-alcoholic Weizen, not too sweet, but weak in taste. One to forget.

0,33l Flasche. Warum? Trübes gelbes Bier, weisser Schaum. Riecht nach Banane aus der Büchse. Getreideantrunk. Metallisch, etwas Säure. Das ist mal garnichts!

Bottle thanks to Fraser. Appearance - amber with a light haze. Nice head. Nose - creamy banana and light spice. Thinner than usual hefe nose. Taste - very thin banana and light spice. Some funky yeasty notes too. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly good finish. But it’s a bit thin for a hefe. Overall - I struggle with non-alcohol versions of this style as the body is missing.

I bought this bottle at the Rewe shop center in Freiburg. I drank it in this same city. In my opinion, it is a decent beer free of alcool, for the style, it is find and refreshing. The taste is like the hefe-weizen but without alcool, wheat, nice touch of banana, cloves, watery, really enjoyable during these spring days, surprised about some comments.

[backlog] 29-08-15 / 500ml bottle at Wasems, Ingelheim. I started rating my beers with Untappd and a few basic notes. Now I want to rate them on ratebeer. So my rating sometimes lack some information. Just ignore it, it is for my personal statistics. Untappd-Rating 2/5

Koelschtrinker (26859) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAR 12, 2016
Heller, sehr leicht süßer Beginn. Hefig, wässrig herb, dafür ohne störende Alkoholentzugsnoten. Mild würzig. Erfrischend aber langweilig. 8/5/8/5/7/5
