UPDATED: JAN 14, 2023 500mL bottle, 2021 vintage, drunk 1/14/23. Thanks, Chalumeaux! Maybe clear? Hard to tell. No head, viscous. Deep mahogany. Oh yeah....that's the stuff....just like the base beer, it's phenomenally aromatic with the additional layer of rich bourbon that is in perfect balance. Vanilla, caramel, brown sugar, none of the adjuncts stick out. Everything is homogenized really nicely. Soft, malty, oaky, rich....very inviting. Rich, malty, NOT sweet, wow. You always worry about these mega stouts being syrupy-sweet/sugary and this is actively dry. Rich bourbon, lots of oak and yet no booze or sharpness. Rich malt, highly attenuated with dark chocolate, hints of cinnamon, minimal chili. My only complaint, and it's ridiculous and a minor one, is that maybe it COULD be a bit more sticky/syrupy/thick? That seems insane, but it's pretty dry and medium-bodied.

UPDATED: AUG 22, 2022 2021 bottle pours black w mocha cap. bourbon is strong without being hot or cloying, and doesn;t cover up any of what I love about the base beer.

UPDATED: JUL 31, 2021 500 ml bottle thanks to TJ and Brian. The flavor is a amazing in every way. The chocolate, cinnamon, pepper, roasted malt, and a wonderful bourbon finish. The bourbon is extremely mild. No alcohol burn or warming after the sip. Totally and completely integrated in every way. Wow!

UPDATED: JUL 31, 2021 Bottle pour (2021) shared by Chalumeaux and WillRunForBeer. It’s an opaque black with light sparkle ring of off white head and no lacing. Aroma is balanced mix of strong cinnamon, chocolate, spice, roasted malt, bourbon. Taste follows aroma with hint of apple and, perhaps, mild coconut. Mouthfeel is medium side of light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, average-to-lively carbonation, no hint of alcohol, and finish as taste. Overall, strong aroma and flavor with nice complexity and balance.

UPDATED: MAR 22, 2021 2021 Release Nearly black with a dark brown head. Aroma is cinnamon, chocolate, tobacco, coffee, vanilla, cherry and wood. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter. Medium/heavy body, oily feel with average carbonation.

UPDATED: AUG 11, 2019 Bottle from a friend. Black color, beige head. Bitter taste with roasted malts, chocolate, bourbon, licorice, spices, coffee and a bit of dark fruits. Bitter finish with roasted malts, chocolate, nuts, spices, bourbon, coffee and dark fruits. Very nice imperial stout.

UPDATED: AUG 11, 2019 750ml bottle. Spicy, smooth and roasty with some licorice, chili, bourbon, vanilla, toffee and cinnamon. Pretty nice.

UPDATED: AUG 5, 2019 Thanks Virby44 for sharing! Teku showing dark brown with sparse latte colored foam. The nose shows intense notes of dark chocolate and baker's chocolate with a light bourbon background. The palate is medium bodied and well carbonated with a peppery mouthfeel. Dark chocolate forward and bakers chocolate throughout with a moderately intense background of bourbon. Bready malts on the end.
