COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our golden-yellow wheat beer, with its fine-pored white foam, smells of cloves and impresses consumers with its refreshing banana flavour. It is full bodied and with a smooth yeast taste. To be enjoyed at any time (always a pleasure / enjoyment), goes excellently with fish and seafood, with spicy cheese and especially with the traditional Bavarian veal sausage. Brewed according to our centuries-old brewing tradition on the Weihenstephan hill.

UPDATED: FEB 9, 2020 I’m a big fan of wheat beer. By far this has to be one of the best. It has a smooth with banana and yeast taste. Smells of cloves and spices.

UPDATED: FEB 8, 2020 500ml bottle brewed in Germany at 5.4%. Picturesque good-duration head, thick dull lemony colour, hints of lemsip. Clean grassy yeasty aroma, some banana, some wheat thickness. Moderate carbonation, pinprickly. Grassy, lemony hops with a bit of zing, meld into mild smooth banana yeast and creamy wheat malt. Very thick and chewy, you can almost feel the yeast particles. I can see why this is highly-rated, it's basically the stereotype of what a Weissbier ought to be. However, I can't help finding, say, Paulaner's maybe a little bit more up my alley - this is just a bit too well-made and subsequently cohesive for my preferences, perhaps! Still, make no mistake - connoisseurs (or would-be ones) of Weissbier can in no way afford not to sample this fine offering from the world's oldest brewery. Furthermore, if you like a fine example of the thick, creamy texture of Weissbier in perhaps a more hop-forward example of the style than most, this may just be your top tipple, especially if you like a particularly joined-up cohesive profile of flavour on the palate. I can't say I have any complaints.

PubRespek15 (201) - NORWAY - JAN 22, 2020
UPDATED: JAN 22, 2020 A legendary German beer brewed with wheat and dark malts. It’s full-bodied, subtly sweet, smooth and creamy, and peppered with spiciness from the yeast and hops. High in alcohol and big on flavour, every sip is a beery pleasure.
