Hazy caramel-orange with big, flotsam, fine-bubble, head, fine legs / Delicate, acidic nose of orchard fruit, oak, spice, brett / Light to medium body, acidic, lively carbonation, creamy, excellent balance, mostly dry, with dusty, lightly bitter finish / Stylish flavors of red apple, caramel, guava, oak, coriander, horse blanket / More great stuff from CC.

On tap at Hunahpu day 2011. Pours gold with a thick white head. Aroma of jolly pumpkin, that funky yeast that is so akin to JP. Taste is fruity, sour, funky and amazing, its like guava grove married a jolly pumpkin beer, really nice

Doftar belgisk jäst. Frisk och len, smak av karamell. Kolsyrad, lite klen och tunn i kroppen.

Entering old rates. Cask @ CCB. Blend of a Jolly Pumpkin yeast with guava goodness.

on tap at hunahpu day. I had to sneak my way up to the bar in order to try this one. Its a good thing that I am short!! poured a deep copper almost orange with a nice white head. aroma and flavor were fantastic with lots of citrus, brett, oak, tart, and acidic. this was absolutely phenomenal. light and dry body with fizzy carbonation.

Bottle at the Side Bar in West Chester, PA. There are a great deal of flavors to parse through in this beer. There is a strong fruit front that gives way to rose. Drinks cleanly and has a wonderful scent. Solid drink.

Pour from a 750 ml. bottle. Orange golden with a creamy off white head. Aromas of yeast, and fruity funkiness. Flavors are of tart fruit with an understated guava presence. Moderate carbonation. Sour citrus with a nice retention of flavors. Liked this beer quite a bit.

Still getting all of my scattered notes in from the first Hunahpu release. I’m a much bigger fan of sour/tart brews now than I was at the time -- we drink the regular GG regularly now. So would love to try this again. For now, only have an old score: 8.0

Waited an hour for this brew at the Hunahpu’s releasing and it was worth it. Aroma is funky peach, citrus and light sour hops. Tasty is sour banana, apple, citrus. Candy. Just awesome. Very drinkable. Wish they made more of this.

On-tap at the brew-pub for the Hunaphu release. They didn’t tap this 5 gallon pour until 5 so everyone was crowding around. Thanks to Sean for making his way upfront to grab this for us... The beer is a dark murky orange gold, like the deep hue to it. A bright off white head offers a nice contract, a nice lasting ring forms, pretty good lacing... The aroma is pretty nice, lots of oak and bret, nicely integrated, not as tart as I would have liked. Lots of fruity notes, don’t get any guava... After all the hype I was hearing about this beer I was truly expecting something world class here. It was ok, but nothing overtly special. The Jolly Pumpkin really imparted most of the flavor here, lots of oak and brett, however this is much sweeter than most of their beers making it really easy to drink. The sourness is present throughout but doesn’t arise to the puckering level that I like. This is pretty good, I’d have it again but over-hyped.
