UPDATED: FEB 23, 2021 500ml bottle from Water into Beer, shared at home. Pours bright golden with a one finger white head that fades away. Caramel, popcorn, bread, lemon and floral hops on the nose. Medium sweetness, light bitterness, slightly buttery honey and woody finish. Lively carbonation, light-medium body. Aftertaste is balanced, complex and lasts. This was one of my gateway craft beers around 10 years ago and it's still great.BenL8 (1021) - NETHERLANDS - DEC 21, 2020

500ml bottle from Galvin’s, Bandon Rd. Pours a slightly hazy straw yellow/golden with a thin frothy white head. Aroma is quite lemony, quite grassy, with some very delicate floral notes also. A little sharp on the nose, somewhat lagery. The taste is better, with initial light malty sweetness which has a certain sugary character to it, medium citrus bitterness, with more pronounced floral notes and quite a clean bitter bite. Slightly dry finish with a lemony aftertaste and some grainy hints, with soft carbonation. Overall, it didn’t give a great first impression and wasn’t quite as good as I recalled from my first experience of it a few years back, but still a tasty brew, particularly for the ABV!
UPDATED: DEC 21, 2020 Pours a clear light yellow, small head. Aroma is very much in-line with a classic golden ale. Floral, nutty, with lots of English hops, grassy and herbal, honey. Light body. Flavour is mild and malty, lots of flavour for the abv. Nice sweetness, honey, grassy, nutty. Lovely low abv golden ale. UPDATED: DEC 10, 2020 Dec 2020. Small dark bottle. Pleasant lemony blonde session beer. Plenty of character and taste for 3.8%. This is an impressive little beer. I'd be happy to sink a few pints of this in a pub by a loch in Scotland. Nice one. [3.7] rhoihessegold (6457) - Mainz, Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - NOV 29, 2020
