UPDATED: NOV 24, 2023 Bottle at home. Pours thick and black with a thick tan head. Aroma is rich dark malts, chocolate, caramel, fig, brown sugar. Medium to full body. Flavour is rich, malty and sweet. Caramel and molasses, light bitterness, lots of chocolate, and a nice fruity note. Lovely.

yngwie (22190) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - NOV 10, 2023
UPDATED: NOV 10, 2023 On tap at Mig & Ølsnedkeren. A black beer topped by a minimalistic tan head. Curtains. The aroma felt quite dull at first, but when it got 10-15 minutes to warm a bit, it really opens up. The initial charred notes was replaced by lots of dark chocolate and coffee, and still there's some charred and roasted malts. Some dark dried fruit too. Hints of licorice. It's full bodied and lightly warming, smoothly carbonated and not too sweet, with a gentle bitterness that seems to come from the malts rather than from the hops. I might of course be wrong on that. Dark chocolate, coffee grit, prune, toffee, some licorice and a good dash of roasted, lightly burnt malts in the flavor. Lasting finish. A really fine brew that shouldn't be allowed to serve fridge cold. 241110

UPDATED: JUN 14, 2023 Frederiksberg 14/6 2023. 40 cl from tap at Tap 21, H.C Ørstedsvej, Frb. C. Pours opaque dark brown - almost black - with a small beige head. Stable. Settles as thin but unbroken layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Massive lacing. Aroma is medium intense with a sweet slightly roasted odor mingling with earthy notes. Toffee, milk chocolate and a bit of brown sugar. Dark bitter chocolate and humid soil. Coffee grounds. Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, smooth and silken texture. A bit viscous. Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a while. Finish is rather dry. Potent and quite easy to drink in summer hot Copenhagen.

EerieDrinks (1418) - Malm, SWEDEN - MAR 11, 2023
UPDATED: MAR 11, 2023 3 finger dark beige head. Dissipates slowly. Leaves a creamy head. Pitch black beer. Aroma of dark chocolate ice cream, espresso and hazelnuts Taste of the same but with the lactonic ice cream note toned down and the dark chocolate & coffee being more prominent. Hints of liquorice. Mouthfeel is unbelieveably silky with a medium-low bitterness. Medium-low to low carbonation. Pillowy body without being thick, especially impressive at 7%. Overall: This stuff is just divine for the style, gonna have to try more from Kernel. This is pretty much verything you'd want from a single stout, save a few tweaks here and there. But so good. Yes please!
