hauxe (2187) - Butzbach, Hesse, GERMANY - JAN 29, 2020
UPDATED: JAN 29, 2020 Bottle from SimonTomlinson via the RB EU 2019-3 trade. Black with a frothy to creamy beige head. Aroma full of roasted grains, dark chocolate and coffee. Taste bittersweet with the the roasted bitterness taking over the finish. Medium bodied, mild carbonation. Robust and flavorful. Quite traditional in style and well done.

AWS9 (925) - Mississauga, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 25, 2019
UPDATED: DEC 25, 2019 Bottle. Solid dark brown/blackish pour. Light mocha head. Buttery sugar, very light hint of roastiness, an odd finish and aroma (burnt grain?). Creamy, which makes it nicely drinkable, but seems to mute the flavours. Easy drinking high alc stout, but I found the character to this one rather odd.

UPDATED: DEC 23, 2019 Bottle at Hopa, huge thanks to the BPBW crew for this. I only took numerical notes while having this one.

caribou43 (1957) - Lausanne, SWITZERLAND - SEP 4, 2019
UPDATED: SEP 4, 2019 This bottle is coming from one beer shop from Zurich. Trying and drinking with a big pleasure this bottle, at home, in Epalinges. One of the best stout that I have drunk in my life, a great experience of aromas. Pouring it and giving one powerful black color, creamy white and brown foam, normal carbonation for the style. This one is almost an imperial stout, powerful roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate, plum, subtle and well balanced, hop, a love story.
