And another beer I would have swore I've had. Almost clear gold beer, with a small bubbly pale cream colour head. Light smooth palate, very mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Light smooth pale malts, traces of malt cream and grain. The hoppage is smooth pine into juicy citrus with a pleasing bright edge. Some hay notes on the back end. Really like the hop edge on this one, for the style I mean, really enlivens this one into a very good potential sessioner.

UPDATED: NOV 14, 2023 [May 2022] Legendary beer, sampled before its retirement - clear and golden with a frothy white head and a floral, hoppy aroma. Taste is biscuits and hops, less of the latter, but still a decent pale ale with hints of fruit and a dry finish

UPDATED: OCT 13, 2023 Cask at Hops, Crewe (4/10/23). This is the version produced by Thornbridge, but I have also drunk the original Kelham Island version, though I don’t seem to have rated it. Pours a golden yellow with as mall white head and good lacing. The aroma has malts and citrus plus some hoppy hints. In the mouth it is sweet with floral hops, oranges, grains and low carbonation. Later on some sharpness creeps in too. This is entirely reasonable – nice and refreshing.
