COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

33 cl bottle @ home. Rated on 28.11.2010
Aroma has some roasted malt, coffee and hints of chocolate. Flavour has coffee, some roastiness, chocolate and hints of nuts. A bit watery but good stuff for this ABV.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Dark brown colour with a light beige head. A bit weak aroma but it contains some sweet dark malt and a bit roasted malt. Some sweetness in the flavour. Like toffe and cocolate. Mild roasted and light hoppy.

330 ml bottle. BBE Apr 11. Thanks Timo.
Dark brown colour with small creamy tan head. Roasted/toasted caramel malt, some dry hoppy bitterness, chocolate and liquorice in aroma. Flavour is very dry with roasted/toasted malt, liquorice, moderately bitter hops and mild notes of coffee. Ash in aftertaste. Surprisingly tasty for a Brown Ale.

jesperhammer (7481) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUN 20, 2011
17-JUN-2011, bottle @Erik. Pours brown with low head. Very malty in the form of bread, charamel, chocolate and nuts. Not much hops here but a long soft malty ending. I guess it does have some age, Erik? Well, anyway it is quite mellow and nice.

Chiswick (159) - Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 8, 2011
has a brown cola-like colour and quite clear liquid with a white creamy minimal head mainly focused on the sides of the glass. not a special looking beer. the aroma is surprisingly complex with coffee, malt, a bit of caramel, chocolate, a roasty feel to it. the problem is that the aromas aren’t that strong and are rather raw in a weak way. has medium bitterness and sourness which i find surprising. also light sweetness with a happy sour twist. a very interesting taste spectrum for a brown ale of this %. the body is light with a thin texture but that works well with the bitter twist of the taste. a fizzy and lively carbonation supports this. overall this is a nice beer that made a statement of it’s own, but didn’t have that much power to impress me more. still, a nice mixture of things going on.

3.2
esox (1225) - Oulu, FINLAND - APR 29, 2011
Dark brown beer, creamy and lacy head. Dry malts, slightly rye-like, dry bready toast, a hint of smoke, some fruity hops. Dry taste, clean toasty barley with minor coffee notes and raisins. A bit thin body, slightly watery texture.
