COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Arthur (1922-2005) was our grandfather’s youngest brother; Hill Farmstead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to him and his 13 siblings. In his honor, this Saison is crafted from American malted barley, American and European hops, our distinctive farmhouse yeast and water from our well. Unfiltered and naturally carbonated, this is the ale that I dream to have shared with Arthur. 6% Alc/Vol 13ºPlato

llucmaduell (478) - barcelona, SPAIN - SEP 9, 2020
UPDATED: SEP 9, 2020 A fantastic beer, I really liked it. With defined style but with imagination and creativity. Complex but balanced in excesses and style. A brutal beer!

juiceisloose (3022) - Windermere, Florida, USA - AUG 16, 2020
UPDATED: AUG 16, 2020 750 ml bottle. Pours a hazy straw golden color and topped by a thick off white layer of foam that slowly settles to a thin film and leaves patches of lace on the glass. The aroma shows notes of light lemon citrus, zest, barnyard funk, hay, and wheat over a toasted bread malt base with underlying Brett and yeasty esters. The flavor follows suit with the lemon citrus, hay, barnyard funk, and crisp wheat up front to go with the breast malts, some minerals, and a light Brett driven tartness on the back end. Medium bodied with lively carbonation that leads to a clean, crisp, funky, light citrus, and dry brett on the finish. Perfectly balanced between sweet, tart, and funky that is very refreshing. Really solid saison here, but I expect nothing less from Hill Farmstead.

UPDATED: AUG 8, 2020 Draft at Omaha Tap House, Pepperwood. Poured light hazy golden, thin white head. Aroma of citrus, fruity, orange, floral, grape. Taste was sour, tart, sweet, citrus, white wine, grapes, rind, green apple, minerals. This is really good.

Vighals (6970) - Sørumsand, NORWAY - JUN 25, 2020
UPDATED: JUN 25, 2020 Lys gul noe tåkete med hvitt skum. Lukter gult gress og aprikos. Sursyrlig smak. Ikke det jeg forventet av en saison. Absolutt positivt. Sure stenfrukter og noe granbar. Middels lang.

Daboch (941) - Gdansk, POLAND - MAY 29, 2020
UPDATED: JUL 31, 2020 Jasnożółte całkowicie zamglone piwo z niezłą pianą. Przyjemny aromat białych owoców, trochę przypraw, siana, stajni. W smaku orzeźwiające, owocowe, głównie białe winogrona, jabłka, lekko kwaśne z delikatną nutką słodyczy. Jakże inne niż belgijskie saison

HippyHop (1187) - Quebec, CANADA - MAY 26, 2020
UPDATED: MAY 26, 2020 Year old bottle. Beautiful cloudy straw pour with a big, blooming, clean white cap. Lemon and pepper, musty green grapes/white wine, just a touch of earthy funk. Taste is a perfect balance between sweet, tart and dry. Tart, lemony finish with just a bit of bitterness. Complex and crushable.

Kiezmar (2471) - Krakow, POLAND - MAY 13, 2020
UPDATED: MAY 13, 2020 Orzeźwiające, cytrynowe, subtelna cierpkość wpadająca w pestkę. Białe winogrona/białe wino, agrest. Delikatnie dzikie. Raczej wytrawne, acz odrobina słodyczy jest. Pyszne.

davidezdonz (1292) - Hong Kong, HONG KONG - MAY 8, 2020
UPDATED: MAY 8, 2020 A 750ml bottle, bottled on 23rd May 2018. Poured into a 3 Fonteinen Zenne glass. It was a very nice lightly hazy golden colour with a two finger white head that had good retention and left nice lacing. Aromas funky, tart, mango, stone fruit, malt, bready, citrus, lemon juice and pepper. Tastes sweet, tart, lightly sour, stone fruit, peach, citrusy, lemon juice, grass, funk, with hints of peppery spice. Medium bodied with moderate spritzy carbonation. Overall I love Arthur every time I get a chance to try it. One of my favourite from Hill Farmstead, and one of my favourite in the Saison / Farmhouse style. The aroma and flavours just come together so well that it’s a joy to drink.

colui72 (2388) - HONG KONG - APR 7, 2020
UPDATED: APR 7, 2020 Pours hazy straw-yellow, bubbly head with medium retention and good lacing. Aroma of bread, citrus, funk. Tastes funky, mildly tart, very fruity. Dry finish. Clean beer, excellent for its style, which isn't my favourite, but an excellent pair for French cheeses! Overall an outstanding brew.
