UPDATED: DEC 28, 2017 From bomber, this is a 2014 Imperial Stout aged in a Four Roses Barrel. The pour is dark, no light penetration, with a thick dark brown head. The aroma is bourbon, milk chocolate, caramel and toasted malts. The taste is rich with chocolate notes, roasted malts, and a touch of warmth from the bourbon. The mouthfeel is thick, creamy with a good balance of carbonation, maybe touch too much carbonation. The finish is alcohol but not overpowering, roasted malts, chocolate and a little note of candy malt balls. Overall this is an amazing beer, warming delightful and a great balance of flavors making this an easy sipping beer. Oh and it ages well, given this is a 3 year old beer almost 4. Need another one for the cellar.

Pours black, small grey head' smell is bit buttery ( bourbon ? ) not diacethyl for sure. Roasted' taste is sharp, roasty, full chocolate, very nice. Thick body , rather good carbo, perhaps a tad to high ? Nice stout.

22 oz waxed bottle pour. 2014. Much thanks to Tcon for bringing this one out. Finally, I try one of these beers. A thick, dark brown pour. Near black. Big bourbon nose, caramel, dark chocolate. This didnt come off as overly sweet to me, as it did for others reviews. It is sweet, but not enough to bother me. So smooth. Dark chocolate first impression on taste. Lots of caramel. A smooth and flavorful bourbon, with little to no booziness or harshness. A warming roasted malt linger here, thats interesting. Toasty. A little burnt in the late palate. Nice. Overall, quite an amazing beer. Would love to try more from these guys.
